I like Hahn's approach to the pen, it's for the most part same as KW, you don't pay for "proven" anything cause some random dude like belly is way cheaper and can give you just the same production.

 

Unless of course you have an elite team on paper and you have money to burn, it's not worth it to spend on the pen.
