Royals vs White Sox

The Sox need a lot more pitching. They know it. It is why they were drafting pitchers in the first few rounds.

If they were planning to compete this season, they would have kept Peavy. And it's not like he has lit Boston on fire, either. Would we be better off with Jake Peavy right now?

Then we'd be buying 2 outfielders in the free agent market instead.

With all the TJ surgeries around MLB, you're going to see a lot more "speculative" signings like Paulino and fewer and fewer 3-8 year contracts.

On TV on contact, I would have bet my life that was going 410 feet. What the hell happened? Wind?

QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ Jun 15, 2014 -> 01:17 PM)
At the ballpark and that sounded like it was completely crushed.

Wind.

Shocked that wasn't a homer. Two good at bats by Abreu.

Not a good game again.

Sigh

Rodon would be our number 4

He has seen a lot of pitches, but he missed two hangers in that last at bat. I wouldn't call that AB a "good" one.

Put Q. on the trade market and sign Shields.

I thought this was a rebuilding year? We didn't do so poorly early on and peoples feelings changed. Now we lose a few games and the call is to trade our good players for ??? and keep the non performers. You trade a good player for something and all you do is open up another and different hole. We have a good nucleus so let's keep them and work on the weakness which I see to be pitching. We either promote talent from within or maybe wait for the off season and sign free agents. After all we have all that money from the so called bad contracts we got rid of. Really we have lots of baseball left

Atta boy De Aza.

Wind is killing everything.

How can guys looks serviceable for a few starts and completely fall off the wagon?

Lead off double and we get nothing. So frustrating

Hitters haven't seen them yet?

I can't wait until Viciedo turns it around.

Says the Mariners

Warning track power galore. No clutch hits for anyone the last 4 games.

And the Phillies, and . . . :)

Yost obviously got tossed to make sure KC stayed hungry for the sweep. This is not good. This is like last year. Hope the Sox can revert back to this year.

Lexi back to swinging at the first piece of crap he sees

The Sox lead the AL in walks. Not good.

Right. He got tossed to make sure his good team would beat this crappy one. If he was still in the dugout, this game would be all Sox.

Sometimes managers do that to get their team intense/fired up. You can sleepwalk in some of these Sunday games. He made sure Royals were to stay focused to sweep our slumping Sox.
