The Wolves have s*** and they know it. They're going to have Andrew Wiggins soon enough and be in full-on rebuild mode. That's why you give them the picks to take Boozer while also taking the contract they're trying to toss into every Love deal in Kevin Martin.

If they do trade Love, I'd much rather roll with Rubio-Martin-Wiggins-Pekovic-Dieng than Rubio-Lavine/Wiggins-Wiggins/Dunleavy - Boozer-Pekovic.

They don't particularly seem to care about picks. They want to keep Love the way Portland kept Aldridge.

Obviously, but the question continues to be whether you continue to hold him assuming that the Cavs refuse to part with Wiggins.

If Thompson/WIggins are never offered, then yes, I would hold him until midseason.

I heard on the radio there was a reporter who took a poll and 7 of 12 said they would not trade Wiggins for Love (from the perspective that Wiggins is more valuable). Basically the gist was people believe Love is severely overrated and his statistics are inflated. No idea if these were GM's of good or bad teams and the report was "largely" Gm's so who knows the exact context. I think it was from a sports illustrated column.

I really don't see a way Bulls can trade for Love and get much of an upgrade (given the so called offers out there). Focus should be on finding a scoring wing sometime between now and the post-season (ideally). Maybe Kobe becomes available. No idea how the heck we could get him and make the cap work though.

Cleveland will surely budge on Wiggins. There's just no reason to do so right now. Might as well play chicken.

I kind of hope they do. I think Lebron paired with Wiggins for a long time is a lot scarier than Love. Love will give that instant boost, but Wiggins will be better in the long run

Not really sure Cleveland will budge on Wiggins. With that team you really just need some junkyard dog types at C/PF. No Love = more flexibility and potential depth.

+1

Man I was the one accused of over hyping Wiggins but now I have to downplay him. If you get Love to sign you have to do that trade. He's a legit top 5 player in the NBA where Wiggins can only dream to be. Not to mention with Lebron being 30 and the East being pretty much an all - time low, the future should be now. You shouldn't want to wait for Wiggins.

The problem is Wiggins is likely the 2nd best defender on Cleveland already. Lebron is going to need to pull defensive weight on that team.

Wow, Dirk takes 3/25 from Mavs after reportedly getting max offers from Houston and LA.

Also Anthony Randolh was just waived....Today is his birthday.

Yeah Irving is perhaps the single worst defensive player in the league. I think Lebron will get through to him though.

Question:

Would you trade dunleavy to Denver for Nate Robinson, coming off of an injury, and creating a hole at SF?

No.

I think people need to realize Dunleavy is a solid player. Maybe not starter material on a championship contender, but he's solid in most aspects of his game.

He'll give you 10-11 points a game on efficient shooting and he'll play, at the very least, average defense. He works best in a system like the Bulls' where rotations are very important.

I honestly think McDermott will give the team just as much as Dunleavy (if not more than). It's just a matter of whether Thibs is willing to give him starters minutes early on.

Not sure about trading him for Nate, but I'd be all about trading Dunleavy for a guard and I don't think it'd create much of a hole.

If McDermott or Mirotic turn out to be as good as they've been advertised, you can bet the Bulls would trade Gibson or Dunleavy for a SG before the trade deadline.

I agree with this. Dunleavy is pretty good but having him and McDermott is counterproductive. I am also of the mindset that Mirotic needs to be playing. I would be very interested in trading Taj and Dunleavy to upgrade the wing and SG positions. Taj is a nice player. He is a good rotation big that plays really good defense. However, Taj makes $8 million, is going to be 30 years old, and the team just signed Pau Gasol and Nikola Mirotic.

Love is pretty awful defensively too.

Ditto.

I wonder if Cleveland will sign Ray Allen. Allen was rumored to follow LeBron, but I haven't heard anything since.

If Cleveland doesn't want him for whatever reason, the Bulls should take a look.

I read today that Morey let Parsons walk when he had a $1 million team option for next year so he wouldn't be a UFA in 2015.

Boy that looks bad now.

Kevin Love is NOT a top 5 player in the NBA. Get real, damn

I wouldn't do the Nate trade either. I do wonder what Denver would ask for, though, but at this point MDJ is our only salary piece we can really trade now that we've renounced all NGCs.

Boozer officially amnestied per Sam Smith

$8 million really isn't that much, and he's one of the best defensive power forwards in the game, he can also play the 5 if called upon. The bulls love him too much. They just doubled down on including him with Melo at the cost of much more reasonable cap space, they aren't going to trade him because of "excess" for a guard now.
