Ha, it was actually this:

"4. Coaches coach

The Thibodeau-vs.-the-front-office story line has been relatively quiet, and both sides would like it to stay that way. That requires the front office letting Thibodeau do what he does best and allowing him to pace the team as he sees fit without distraction.

If not, go ahead and look for a trading partner for Thibodeau now, and call Fred Hoiberg for the vacancy."

Yeah, big picture, it was incredibly short on substance or style, and long on innuendo and meaningless phrases.

Butler out 2-4 weeks, per Friedell.

I honestly can't believe how Reinsdorf can have one of the best trainers in baseball, and continue to have the worst medical staff in basketball. How are they so inept? How do they consistently misunderstand the severity of injuries?

Technically this is a new training staff. What happened? Did he reinjure? Or was this just them re-evaluating and deciding that to get to 100% he needs 2 to 4 more weeks and they opted to do that vs. the risk of reinjury. With our depth, we should be able to overcome and I'd rather have a healthy Butler then worry about this issue continuing to recrop throughout. Still, I was hoping Buckets was going to take the next step forward this year!

Not sure, just saw a tweet from Friedell about Thibs saying that was the new timetable.

I dont know how you can infer so much because they put a timetable on it. How did they misunderstand it? Because they didnt tell anyone right away what the severity was? There is no injury reports they have to administer in the preseason, he popped his thumb in a game and it isnt healing as fast as they would like.

Day to Day, Jimmy is practicing, Game time decision, Jimmy will not play vs. Knicks, Jimmy is out 2-4 weeks.

Noah - Minor knee surgery, 8-10 week recovery, Noah actually was rehabbing all summer, oops he's actually going to be affected all year by this.

Deng - Flu, flu like symptoms, pneumonia....actually we almost killed him.

I feel people on Twitter are severely overreacting about this injury. It sucks but it's not a knee, leg, or back problem. It's a finger.

Better now than May.

@kcjohnson Thibodeau backed off the 2-4 week projection for Butler a bit. Later said 1-3. And this is from original injury Oct. 19. Still, a blow.

Thibbs probably just wants to have wiggle room in there and not want to get asked about it every day, haha.

It just sucks because:

1) Once again bulls coming out of the gate injured

2) Bulls do not have a wing player that can guard anyone. Which means we have to watch Hinrich dribble for 35 minutes a game.

you are really overreacting.

KCJ just tweeted Butler may play Friday, fwiw.

Jimmy will come back when he feels 110%.

Granted, looks like Thibs was just bad at math here, but the Bulls medical team being horrible is not isolated to this incident.

Posts about Bulls injuries and no Rose references? For shame.

Again, it is a new medical team starting this year and to be frank it didn't happen until 6 to 8 weeks ago or whenever it was. Whatever notions on past team can't necessary be applied to current team.

Honestly if anything it makes me respect Rose's decision more. They cleared Jimmy to play after he sprained his thumb in a preseason game.

Luol Deng has nothing to do with this staff. Jimmy Butler has a painful thumb injury, and all they said about Noah was that they are going to take it easy with him because they want to make sure his knee isnt overworked, and you concluded that they have the worst medical staff.

this isnt an incident

He didnt play, he was ruled out the day after he popped his thumb.

Maybe not, but this was a franchise that employed that team and didn't fire him, he left on his own. I have zero confidence they then hired a fantastic new team. Despite the fact they have 100% of their team salary tied to chronically injured players they don't seem to put a priority on it.

He went back in the game!

come on, how many players pop fingers during a game and shake it off, you act like he broke his foot and they dragged him back out and forced him to play. It swelled after the game, and they ruled him out for the rest of the preseason the next day. And then you want to cite Luol Deng like its the same thing.

Go ahead and freak out that jimmy is out for a little while if it makes you feel better.

They hired the person Rose was comfortable with.

It's preseason. As soon as he did it they should have taken him back in the locker room because...it's preseason.

God you act like this is the first time the Bulls suddenly have no grasp on the severity of a players injury. Why don't you refresh your memory?

You know how many injuries NBA players play through. I'm not saying one thing or another but the Bulls never forced Deng onto the court nor did they mismanage Rose. If you want to blame Rose's injury on someone, blame it on the NBA and the stupidity of the strike shortened season or go as far as Van Gundy and push the league to get rid of back to backs.

By the way, in regards to Butler, we are talking about an injury that was initially reported correctly and still seems pretty accurate. They are monitoring him and he's slowly getting more basketball activity in. What have they said that was wrong? They never said he'd be back immediately. They never said he'd play today and right now it seems like Butler would think he's going to miss one game.
