What's the recovery time for that? 5-6 months?

The Pacers are kinda screwed.

Really unfortunate. And such a freak thing. An inch shorter or longer on that landing and he's probably fine.

Aren't the back stops for the basket usually farther than that?

Nevermind: looks normal.

I guess the dude for Louisville took a full year off right? Pretty similar.

He was unstoppable last preseason where no defense was being played. He has looked even better tonight, where very little defense is being played.

It's all about his health. If he holds up, Bulls are in the Finals.

Eh, a bit more defense being played. But they're clearly not trying that hard.

Rose has his explosiveness back. He didn't look great in the half-court though, but that's expected.

I would say he's done for the year. Hopefully he comes back healthy next year.

Cancel the whole stupid tournament. Get all the paid players off the court for these stupid games.

Wonder how this affects USA basketball going forward. More guys (or franchises) opt out for fear of injury?

Pacers are a lottery team.

Yeah that's the tibia. May be better than the ankle for a bball player actually.

What sucked the most is that this was a scrimmage...

It sucks but s*** happens. This could have happened anywhere, you can't just keep these guys locked in a room until the NBA season starts.

This has to f*** with Rose's head.

Career

Pssh, no. It's a broken leg. Fractures recover in 4-5 months, then the question is what's the rehab time. I'm sure he'll take the year to be safe.

This is, by the way, why guys like Anthony take that guaranteed 5th year.

Kevin Ware's fracture was worse and he was ready by the next season.

Over reaction ITT

That's a career altering injury.

Good point.

Windhorst just said the base of the basket is closer on that court than it is on NBA courts.

I hope international basketball isn't nuked because some assholes in the NBA don't want their guys to take the tiny risk of injury to play it.

It actually looks like the big issue is going to be where that hoop is in relation to the court. Someone's getting fired.

Yeah, that's an interesting factor.

My girlfriend: "I know what happened. Derrick looked at him."

Didn't see the Paul George injury. But Derrick Rose crying in the ensuing huddle is a pretty bad sign.

Is Paul George really in need of everyone's prayers? He got a bad injury, apparently some people get squeamish to look at it, but he's going to be okay. He's not dead. It's dubious to say his career is really threatened by this. He'll be back and pretty much the same guy.
