Agreed, let him take his lumps now that we ain't gonna compete, if we do next year he's prepared and is less likely to fail with high expectations

We've been grooming Erik Johnson to be in the rotation and he's pitching in AAA. Things change.

 

Belisario has been ridiculously unlucky and Webb has been very lucky. When it comes down to it, Belisario at least throws strikes for the most part.

Things change with Webb 2 1/2 months into the season? I'd like to see him get his shot at some point

As would I, unfortunately for him, that point should come once he demonstrates he can throw strikes.

 

Agreed but no ones really been consistent all year. All up and down. Putnam would be my other choice because of that split

Next save situation should be Webb.

Why? It's not like Webb is effective. At least Bella is good sometimes and horrific others. Might as well leave him there even though he's not reliable.

Ideally, the Sox should peddle Belasario over the next month. To do that, he'll need a few saves. Just hope he doesn't do what Linstrom did last year: pitch like crap for the 6 weeks leading up to 7/30.
