July 7, 201411 yr Author Something I hadn't realized before until checking out his stats, but this is Jordan Danks' 5th season in Charlotte. You don't see that too often with the same organization.

You don't see that too often with the same organization. He's first or second now in nearly every historical Charlotte Knights category. Crash Davis-esque.
July 7, 201411 yr QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Jul 7, 2014 -> 06:36 PM) He's first or second now in nearly every historical Charlotte Knights category. Crash Davis-esque. Jordan Danks and Joe Borchard are the Willie Mays and Babe Ruth of Charlotte Knights. LOL.
July 8, 201411 yr QUOTE (Chilihead90 @ Jul 7, 2014 -> 06:30 PM) 6 IP, 2 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 7 K so far for Danish. That's super sexy. ERA down to 4.29.
July 8, 201411 yr Also, Andy Wilkins hit his 15th HR. He has gotten better ever month of the year so far. April - .183/.227/.390, .618 OPS May - .213/.248/.413, .661 OPS June - .306/.326/.531, .877 OPS In July he is hitting nearly .400 with an OPS probably around .900 after his HR today.

July 8, 201411 yr Who do we want to give those Dunn at-bats to? Wilkins? Mitchell (haha)? Semien? Michael Taylor?
July 8, 201411 yr QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Jul 7, 2014 -> 08:46 PM) Who do we want to give those Dunn at-bats to? Wilkins? Mitchell (haha)? Semien? Michael Taylor? I'd like to see Davidson up if he has a decent July. I don't care that he's a lefty. I know robin would, but I wouldn't.
July 8, 201411 yr QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Jul 7, 2014 -> 05:46 PM) Who do we want to give those Dunn at-bats to? Wilkins? Mitchell (haha)? Semien? Michael Taylor? Honestly I'd like to call up Saladino to allow Robin more flexibility defensively and use the DH for Abreu or to plug in the best offensive matchup on any given day.
July 8, 201411 yr Saladino is the most deserving in Charlotte, although Davidson's heating up....you'd prefer to give him at least another month to prove that his improvements are sticking. Semien is struggling still and Micah Johnson just doesn't have enough experience yet at that level. Plus, we've already watched one guy struggle with a quick promotion to Chicago.

July 8, 201411 yr Mitchell with a triple and a walk Phegley with his 13th home run (Probably would be better then Flowers in the hitting department) May with a double and 3 walks
July 8, 201411 yr QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 7, 2014 -> 07:56 PM) Slam for Trey M.! Boy it sure is nice to see a young hitter actually perform in the minors.
July 8, 201411 yr Author QUOTE (danman31 @ Jul 8, 2014 -> 02:39 AM) Boy it sure is nice to see a young hitter actually perform in the minors. 2013 draft with some very promising results so far
July 8, 201411 yr QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ Jul 7, 2014 -> 08:11 PM) Phegley with his 13th home run (Probably would be better then Flowers in the hitting department) I wonder if he's improved his catching at all.
July 8, 201411 yr While Blanke has struggled with the transition to pitching Brad Salgado has really taken to the switch to the mound. His peripherals have been great so far and with the way they've been pitching him it looks like they plan on stretching him out to be a starter. He should be a very interesting name to follow next season.
July 8, 201411 yr QUOTE (danman31 @ Jul 7, 2014 -> 08:39 PM) Boy it sure is nice to see a young hitter actually perform in the minors. I'm ready to see him get called up a level.....Though at just 19 I can see him sticking there for a bit.
July 8, 201411 yr QUOTE (scs787 @ Jul 7, 2014 -> 08:52 PM) I'm ready to see him get called up a level.....Though at just 19 I can see him sticking there for a bit. Eh, let him mash in low-A. Plus he's making his share of errors too, so that needs work. After seeing what happened to Hawkins, I'd just like to see these high school picks start at the bottom and move up a level each year. And when they're 22, hopefully they have a major league player...or near it.
