Triple-A Charlotte’s third baseman hit safely in one of his 25 at-bats this past week, but at least it was an RBI single. If the .040 batting average wasn’t bad enough, he struck out in 40 percent of his at-bats since last Friday. Davidson, who saw time last season in the big leagues with the Diamondbacks, will fight in the coming weeks to get back above the Mendoza Line.
