He needs to be able to throw strikes. I am at the game and watched him throw 3 WP in a row warming up in the bullpen.

The "lucky" home run thing is stupid. The only "luck" he has is being strong and skilled enough to turn deep flyballs into outs.

 

Just like any stat in baseball, it's not perfect. It's a good indicator of the likelihood that he will continue to hit the same pitch out if other conditions of the game changes.

I guess we heard the same thing about Addison Reed's slider, and it was nowhere as good as advertised (like Sergio Santos' stuff before the injury).

 

All I know is Webb seemingly has little command and almost always puts runners on base whenever I catch a game.
