December 8, 201411 yr https://twitter.com/JonHeymanCBS/status/542092411187376128 Jon Heyman @JonHeymanCBS among many other relievers chsiox are looking at is k-rod. #krod
December 8, 201411 yr Been waiting to hear this name and I think he's a tremendous fit. If we intend to compete / try to compete, we absolutely need to sign a closer, imo.
December 8, 201411 yr Always thought K-Rod was kind of a douche, but for the money Id take him over Gregerson or Robertson.
December 8, 201411 yr QUOTE (Y2JImmy0 @ Dec 8, 2014 -> 05:21 PM) I'd much rather have KRod on a short-term deal than Robertson for $50 million. Yup.
December 9, 201411 yr One has to wonder how many of these rumors are true at this point. Is there anybody we are NOT interested in?

December 9, 201411 yr Daniel Hudson. You wonder when K-Rod's arm will fall off like Scott Shields' did (all those relievers abused by Scioscia in the 2002-2006 period), but going two years and an achievable 3rd year option with Rodriguez is 100X more preferable to higher AAV and 4-5 years for Robertson. Robertson's going to get a minimum of 4 years and probably 5 based on the A. Miller deal.

I really think that this is the first offseason where we're beginning to get a true feel for Hahn and his style of "play". Kenny Williams was pretty easy to read and Hahn seems to be better at holding his cards. A couple weeks back, he stated in an interview that he expects the White Sox to be pretty much associated with every name on the board. That's what we're seeing. Hard to read and gives him leverage in trade / FA talks. Bomb.

Absolutely, I also think K-Rod is a better closer, Robertson still seems like a top notch set up man to me, please get Frankie, like the direction of this club
December 9, 201411 yr K-Rod... Worth pointing out the guy end up with a negative fWAR last season. How does a guy with his K%, ERA, and WHIP worth negative WAR you ask? He gave up 14 HR's in just 68 innings last season, with a FIP of 4.50. He might cause a lot of heartaches in a park like the Cell. It might just be a fluke, but he might be someone we might want to steer clear of.
