Ugh, hate letting him beat us

Miggy is such a great hitter.

Why start now?

They're like the Bad News Bears...

That was one heckuva battle.

Well, good game guys, see you tomorrow.

Can we pray for rain tomorrow?

More terrible baseball from Eaton.

Sale limited Cabrera to 0/9 with 7 ks last year.

Victor looks like he is hurting. I suggest they put him on the DL for 151 games

Not really, Cabrera was not going to take 2nd on the throw until Flowers decided not to do his job

Sale is fired up. Pumping 98 a few times now.

Too bad LaRoche wasnt.

This Tigers lineup from 2-6 is just awesome. Dumbrowski's done a great job of getting Cabrera some protection, and their hitting coach deserves a ton of credit.

Eatons not going to get the runner...keep Cabrera at 1b.

Baseball fundamentals 101.

With VMart struggling, probably is a good idea to stop letting Miggy beat us.

Let's see the difference between these two offenses

They score 1 with a guy on 2nd, nobody out.

Well other than the run scored and about 30 pitches from Sale, that went well...

It was actually a closer play then I thought it would be. And like I said, Cabrera doesn't take 2nd if Flowers catches the ball, plain and simple.

26 high stress pitches for Sale and counting.

Not boding well...cant sustain that velocity past the 5th or 6th in all likelihood.

It's almost like Flowers has the yips in terms of catching the ball. Even on pitches that are strikes, he's been dropping a lot of them. I said it last week, but it's almost like he's trying to break in a new glove.

Short hops arent simple plays for any catcher...lots of unpredictable bounces when you throw the ball into the ground.

Not that it mattered, but how about another fundamental error with Sale not being directly behind the catcher?

Doesn't matter, he has to catch it. He is a MLB catcher, it is his job.

1 pitch AB's

Alexei "first pitch out" Ramirez
