Loving Fulmer and Stephens. Iffy on Zangari and Erwin.

he is a pitcher, catcher and 1b. mid 90's, fastball. very raw.

Obviously high-school stats but he hit .490/.603/1.163 as a senior

Zangari's swing reminds of of... Tyler Flowers.

 

mid 90+ on his arm..... i still think there is a great chance for being a pitcher in the future.

I wanted Fulmer all along, but after reading all the post draft fluff, I'm even more tickled.

 

Same. The stuff looks ML ready. No idea if his control needs work or if he's consistent enough, but it looks to me like the only question mark is whether or not his body holds up with that delivery.

I've watched a ton of his games this year (Vandy seemed to be the Thurs night ESPNU game all season), and I think his command is the biggest area he needs to improve. If he can be consistent with his fastball location (much like Rodon), it will allow him to use his superior offspeed pitch(es) to strike out a lot of hitters.

Big question for me is the control. Last start he had 5 Ks and 5 BBs. In a lot of his highlights hitters were swinging at pitches out of the zone. Keen to see how his walk numbers will look with more patient hitters.
