You trust them when they're sustained and not short-term and inflated by a crazy BABIP. I trust that a AAA walk rate of 3% and strikeout rate of 20% combined with a lack of power is probably not going to transition well to the majors

What about his 2014 in AAA? And why would you be anti Tyker Flowers? His AAA are oretty good.

Observation, or theories as to why that was happening???

It's kind of sad, listening to Molitor explain why they felt Buxton would feast on Danks but felt that it was better to protect him by moving him back down to the bottom of the order against Samardzija, who's not exactly lighting it up this year so far.

They talked about team not working the count ever and swinging down to the ground on everything. Could not believe Sox swept them.

Slide Soto. lol

Nice hit by Soto, slide next time

Why didn't Soto slide?

If he slides there, he's safe...what the heck is going on with the baserunning?

Did he really get deked that easily?

Even Conor got a horrible jump there.

Soto is one of thise guys that looks like he could gain 30 lbs. in a week.

Conor had no clue where the fielders were playing

Every fricking game.

Don't know why they shift on geo. Oh well I'll take it. Tied up 1-1.

Sanchez another nice ab!

Why does Sanchez refuse to get his legs into his swing? That approach will never work at this level

Cabrera and Avi Garcia maybe....

I don't know who else they would be expecting to hit with power....maybe Alexei as well?

He tried to get hit in the leg does that count.

Soto rivaling anyone on the team as far as meaningful RBI/hits goes.

Over the last 7.5 road games....14 runs scored.

Yay.

Alexei's durable, there's that. #searchingforpositives

The funny thing today is there's probably an even split about what will happen first, a Quintana trade or a change in manager. It's incredible they would even start to contemplate trading away core pieces without first at least trying to do something different with the coaching staff and see how the players respond.

He must have been deeked, but he was about 6 feet from 2nd when the 2nd baseman caught the ball, he pulled up so I don't know if he would have been safe, but much closer.

Clutch does not exist. #juanuribejoecrededontlie

He was VERY close to throwing the ball down to 1B away...

Stupid decision by Samardzija to not see if that goes foul

I REALLY wish Hawk would retire. He is embarrassing himself.

It was decent but the BABIP was on the high side and I needed to see it sustained more after an awful 2013. And I say to trust AAA numbers more often than not, there's always gonna be exceptions that largely come from players incapable of making adjustments. And one big thing to look out for at AAA beyond the mere triple slash is strikeout levels, Tyler's was always huge and that usually leads to big problems in the majors.

Of course.

Of course they give the run right back on the 1000th hanging breaking ball of Samardzija's season

Suzuki does not do s*** against anyone else. 2 out hits EVERY team but the Sox can do it.

All because Jeff wanted to peg Hunter and field a ground ball.

Good relay??

Anyone??...
