Kane's on the new cover of SI and inside, there's a big piece on him. In it, he tells SI he has stopped drinking. Wow

Money?

Maybe I'm wrong, but don't guys on LTIR still get paid? If you retire, you walk away from your contract.

yes but it is not affecting the salary cap.

same thing as a player who was on a 1 month IR .... example Kuger.

It's mutually beneficial for both parties. And while I don't know every detail, since he has been on LTIR since 2011, I assume at some point the team could have gone to the league or NHLPA to discuss not paying him since he has been injured for 5+ years, but again the team is happy he is on LTIR and the avoidance of the cap hit.

there was something about how it does work in a way with a salary cap

something like the beginning of the season, the money, all money is counted on the salary cap, then the injured players etc.... are counted off the cap .... i hope i am saying this right.

i am also hoping i am getting the whole info right.

I had no idea you were like 15. I believe you get a pass.

15 and 1/7th you asshole!

Actually no, 16, but yeah, apparently I'm a bandwagon Sox fan from the 05 series because I was 6 and didn't care about sports when they won- I started watching them at age 7 in 06 (when I started playing/taking an interest in baseball).

It does effect the salary cap.

Surprise surprise, the Hawks are in another outdoor game. January 2 at St. Louis

Reaves you dirty dirty f***

It looked really bad full speed, but in slo mo you can see Erhoff sold it a lot more than it seemed in real time

The old unlatched door and the captain is hurt

That's cause he backed off when he saw Reaves coming. But it doesn't happen if Reaves plays the puck instead of head hunting.

I hope Toews is dead...

I looked up Toews to see if he was ok and that's the first thing that came up lmao

The Blues are just so dirty so often that it becomes the norm during the game. But it doesn't work that way during the playoffs.

My experience with blues fans is that they are some of the dumbest in the league.

Some day they will call interference on the blues. Some day

Some day the Hawks will stop taking too many men penalties as well. Unacceptable the amount of time the Hawks spend in the box for that.

It's their favorite penalty.

You sir are a Tracey Myers tweet thief.

Busted.

The blues actually have a shootout strategy. Wow

Damn. The new 3 on 3 OT rules have cost us Panarin shootout moves. That was pretty.

After watching this, I don't miss the S.O. at all....yuck

But yes, that was a sick move.

Me either. Give me actual hockey.

I thought I'd watched enough shootouts in my life but I don't recall ever seeing a team choreograph theirs before.

Well I'm going to that for sure.

You can also see he left his feet to make the hit, which no one talked about.

It is actually part of the Hawks style of play. They walk the line and get busted from time to time.

I believe I heard this at some point over the years.
