He's not wasting service time. He came up after the deadline. They control him for 6 more seasons after this one. It's fine.

What's better? Struggling up in the majors and gaining experience or going 7-8 innings consistently in the minors and looking special? Not sure. He's definitely looked pretty pedestrian thus far in the bigs. I don't have a violent opinion on this either way.

He struggles with command. He had a 3.69 FIP coming into tonight. He hasn't looked pedestrian at all. He looks like a top of the rotation starter for many years to come.

he could have come up next year after the deadline.

Is he learning his 3rd pitch?

Is he learning to gain command?

No, he's pitching for the highest odds to get the next man out...so Cooper/Ventura win 76 games instead of 72.

No reason to be going through this part of his development in the majors.

Disagree. That change up wouldn't have develop in AAA because we would have dominated with the fastball and slider.

Counting tonight, he has sucked in four of his last six starts. He'd be better off in the minors IMO.

Remember when the Sox used to hit like this in the Cell? Blast home runs like the Cards are doing? Our fans cheering like Cards fans are cheering? Way to build a singles hitting team, Mr. Hahn. Oh wait your team has no speed or baserunning smarts, also. LOL.

Sox signature solo shot by Soto

Soto has to play more tired of Flowers BS!

Wow I ask for homers I get a homer. Finally.

They're wasting service time on this nonsense. Poor asset management all the way around.

Not only would he preserve service time in Charlotte, he'd get better coaching and would be pitched to develop, not to be better than Noesi.

His mechanics lend themselves to being inconsistent with command. He will go through this regardless of where he pitches. In the minors the hitters swing at this stuff and he won't learn like he needs to. He neess to learn at this level.

Saladino is good.

So much better than Sanchez

Move Alexei and put Tyler at SS the rest of the year.

It figures we actually score runs when our starter sucks

Abreu come on

2 crooked number innings in the same game ? 1 more Sox might get back in it.

Holy bleep! Saladino is a Sox bright spot. Trade Lexi. Everyday shortstop. He looks like a f***ing star!

So did Gordon Beckham... just wait until the league figures out how to pitch to him. Nothing in his playing career suggests that he'll continue playing at this level. Let's enjoy it while it lasts.

Is MLB.TV not working for anyone else? I have been having problems with it and MLB At Bat the past few days. I have it through Directv so I am wondering if it has something to do with that

I expect us to lose every game now so it's really not so painful. Did anybody hear Hawk tonight say he wasn't gonna give up til the Sox were eliminated cause there's too much talent? That's really an indictment (hint hint?) of Robin. If we got the talent, then where are the wins? We should be contending apparently.

do your job Abreu.
