I won't pester the Danks haters with post after post defending him. I'll just say he's been good in 5 of his last 10 starts, some against powerhouse teams. Five of 10 is not bad for a No. 5 starter coming back from serious injury still.

I work out with people who went to high school with him. He pops up as a recommended friend on Facebook. He's on the walls of multiple restaurants in town. I want him to be good, but I'm really concerned he's not.

LaRoche is a mess. His stroke is late and lousy. He reminds me of AJP at the plate when AJ is struggling. I wish we could cut bait on him. Even Micah as DH would be better if we can't acquire a slugger. If we could swap Alvarez for him I'd be so happy. No way Pirates would do that, though.

I'll take him, but I doubt the Tiggers move him in the division. That being said, his contract makes it imperative they move him now.

I dont mind giving the Tigers one of our pitchers not named Montas from the minors for Cespedes. That's a healthy infusion of power.

Nice post. I approve. Root for Johnny Danks, people! He's an easy guy to root for. Who gives a flip about his contract? Not me. You shouldn't either. Price of beer ain't going down even if we lose Danks' salary.
