Thought it might be cathartic for us let our feelings know about this guy.

What meat ball tossing fraud... he had myself and many people fooled.

If you look at his track history its not all that great.

Wow did I have this guy wrong.

Get the F*** out of dodge please.

Absolutely disappointing...I also hate Cleveland and Boston for sucking so much vs the Sox at the end of July.

No worries. He's gone after this season. I think many of us have seen enough. I think we have already drafted his replacement.

I hope they trade him before having to risk making him a qualifying offer.

Danks x5 the pitcher at the moment..

He's likely to recover to some extent, but while I normally see things pretty optimistically, I really hated the trade we made for him.

Not sure how much he could recover from a 5.00 ERA this late in the year... and it's been going up and up.

He'll recover in the NL next year. I could totally see a situation where the Sox give him a QO, he declines and then no one signs him until May, when the Cubs give him a 1-year deal.

at this point he is 44-55 with a 4.00 ERA in his career.

That's not Ace material for sure...

I will give Dick Allen some props on this he pointed out earlier that Shark was somewhat fools gold.. really only had one good year.

Dude, there is no chance of this happening. Scouts love the arm, someone will give up the pick for him a multi-year deal.

Only person to ever view him as an ace was Billy Beane

Who would have thought six months ago the future would actually look brighter for John Danks than LaRoche, Shark and Tiger Woods?

Well, at any rate, thanks Cubs fans for showing up to USCF so we can afford the next Bonifacio/Keppinger this offseason.

There's going to be huge doubts about his ability to pitch in the AL, and there are so many great pitchers available, it could get awkward for him.

Now is the time to sign him. Buy low

Good news...Shark isnt sad with how he pitched today...just said the longball got him.

Eh? Love the Arm.

His fastball is 93 ish and his offspeed pitches are floaters.

There is no arm at the moment.

Sounds like Javy or Edwin Jackson...

He can join Jake Peavy in the non big game pitcher category.

Hopefully we get to see if Sale can get it done in meaningful September games at some point before we all start to receive circulars from AARP.

No way, they hyped him up. They definitely didn't offer him ace money.

Luckily the extension ship has sailed unless he begs back in some way. His agent made it pretty clear what his number was.

His arm from a scouting perspective has a track record. No doubt he hasn't flashed the same stuff this year, but that isn't going to stop at least one GM from giving him a multi-year deal. This is the MLB, dumb contracts are signed every offseason.

They weren't offering anyone that kind of money. They were in the destroy and rebuild phase.

Give Peavy credit. He has pitched bigger games than Shark. Also, notice this game was not particularly big. It just stings a little more because of the opponent.

He'll wind up in St.Louis and be good for 4 months. That is my call.
