Pinch running for Flowers there makes absolutely no sense whatsoever.

1. That isn't the tying run.

2. If they do tie it and it goes to extras, who will catch? Soto is the DH today.

Rob Brantly

The Sox never compete. They merely show up. Big difference.

The only difference between Addison Reed and David Robertson is the contract. What has Robertson given up the last two games versus the A's? Seven runs I think

I would not have been upset at all if they just let him go to the Yanks back when they claimed him.

Another loss, another game closer to a top 10 pick.

Bleh.

I want to see a relevant Sox team in September for once.

Another sub .500 home stand and people wonder why place is a ghost town.

Baltimore refuses to give teams afternoon getaway games at home, but complain to the league office when they are on the road and teams do not do it for them.

And I think Baltimore's ownership doesn't have the best reputation around baseball, so these things are probably connected.

Jose Q with a great great performance. He knows how to pitch!!! Congratulations on another fine season, Mr. Q.

...yet he's still under .500 this season.

He is the most unlucky pitcher I've ever seen.

Rob Brantley.

Robertson joins the party.

Why the hell not.

So with a lefty on the mound why didn't we just pinch run Beckham for Flowers and then PH Trayce for Saladino & Abreu for Micah?

Rob Brantley.

I always forget about him. Dammit.

On a related note, do any of you think that he has a chance to make the team next year? He hasn't been that bad so far.

Nice pun.

Bad for Q. Good for the Sox.

Losses are good.

17 left.

Why does Robertson get a pass this season? He has been rather ordinary at best. I advocated trading him at the break and people laughed at me.

Because Robin uses his Magic 8 ball to manage rather than his brain.

What college pitcher we taking with our first pick? Any chance we can move some of these college guys to the bullpen?

In his defense, he hasn't had regular appearances so he can never develop a routine.

But I get what you're saying. He's overpaid for what he is.

Rather not hurt their value by moving them to pen. Move some in deals for hitting.

Roberston has two pitches and his fastball is meat....

He just is so vulnerable. He also comes across to me as soft.

That is true. Hope we can trade him this winter.

Still finished 21-12 vs the AL West this year. Can we switch?

Don't know that he's getting a pass.

I was hoping we'd trade him when claimed in August.

I think it would have been hard to dump him for more than salary.

Woof. As a die hard, just like everybody else who is in here right now, that is badddddd. My overall excitement for next year is about as low as it can be too.

I don't even know how you fix it.. In years past I had ideas. This year? I don't have any.

So true. Sad to say I just don't care anymore! Maybe an RV getting fired or a KW moving on might help. Otherwise, who cares?
