January 24, 201610 yr I think Abreu should be one or two spots higher. I have my doubts about Miggy now.
January 25, 201610 yr QUOTE (iWin4Ron @ Jan 24, 2016 -> 04:37 PM) I think Abreu should be one or two spots higher. I have my doubts about Miggy now. Nah, when healthy Miggy is #1.
January 25, 201610 yr QUOTE (OmarComing25 @ Jan 24, 2016 -> 07:28 PM) Nah, when healthy Miggy is #1. Well yeah but he turns 33 this April. When 100% and in his athletic prime Pujols is #1 out of active players but time is undefeated.
January 25, 201610 yr QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jan 24, 2016 -> 07:03 PM) Well yeah but he turns 33 this April. When 100% and in his athletic prime Pujols is #1 out of active players but time is undefeated* *Tim Duncan In all seriousness, while Cabrera is much better while healthy, I'd still take Goldschmidt over him. Votto, maybe not.
January 25, 201610 yr QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ Jan 24, 2016 -> 08:08 PM) *Tim Duncan In all seriousness, while Cabrera is much better while healthy, I'd still take Goldschmidt over him. Votto, maybe not. Yeah but Cabrera hit that point where there's always something nagging him a couple years ago. He'll still hit, but he'll always be fighting through something sore.
January 25, 201610 yr QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jan 24, 2016 -> 07:03 PM) Well yeah but he turns 33 this April. When 100% and in his athletic prime Pujols is #1 out of active players but time is undefeated. I understand that, but that's why I'm fine with his ranking. The nagging injuries knocks him down a couple spots. I don't think the Pujols comparison is fair because right now if they're both healthy Miggy is way better.
January 25, 201610 yr QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Jan 24, 2016 -> 07:22 PM) Paul Goldschmidt is a beast. Remember the Goldy for Konerko trade "rumors"? I remember following him when he was a minor leaguer and telling my Dbacks friend about him. Now of course he's a f***ing stud.
January 25, 201610 yr I don't have any issues with this list. I love Abreu, but in 2015 he was merely a good player, as opposed to his rookie year when he was truly a great player. He may well return to that level. We'll have to see.
January 25, 201610 yr QUOTE (3GamesToLove @ Jan 25, 2016 -> 08:13 AM) I don't have any issues with this list. I love Abreu, but in 2015 he was merely a good player, as opposed to his rookie year when he was truly a great player. He may well return to that level. We'll have to see. He was playing through a lot of nagging injuries in 2015 and still managed to put up 30+/100+. The offseason will do him wonders in terms of recovery.
January 25, 201610 yr QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Jan 24, 2016 -> 07:22 PM) Paul Goldschmidt is a beast. Remember the Goldy for Konerko trade "rumors"? Wow! I didn't know about this. Can you imagine?!
January 25, 201610 yr QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Jan 24, 2016 -> 07:22 PM) Paul Goldschmidt is a beast. Remember the Goldy for Konerko trade "rumors"? The White Sox asked for him, Arizona lol'd. That was the extent of it.
January 27, 201610 yr The coming home special on Abreu was great. He's such a fascinating individual, I would love to see him make the World Series and get national attention.
