mlb network top 1st baseman right now

I'd switch Abreu and Encarnacion, but otherwise, good list.

Not bad.

I think Abreu should be one or two spots higher. I have my doubts about Miggy now.

You can remove Brandon Belt and put in Pujols unless he's a DH now.

Encarnacion isn't really a 1B. He played 59 games there last year.

Nah, when healthy Miggy is #1.

Well yeah but he turns 33 this April. When 100% and in his athletic prime Pujols is #1 out of active players but time is undefeated.

*Tim Duncan

In all seriousness, while Cabrera is much better while healthy, I'd still take Goldschmidt over him. Votto, maybe not.

Yeah but Cabrera hit that point where there's always something nagging him a couple years ago. He'll still hit, but he'll always be fighting through something sore.

I understand that, but that's why I'm fine with his ranking. The nagging injuries knocks him down a couple spots. I don't think the Pujols comparison is fair because right now if they're both healthy Miggy is way better.

Paul Goldschmidt is a beast. Remember the Goldy for Konerko trade "rumors"?

I remember following him when he was a minor leaguer and telling my Dbacks friend about him. Now of course he's a f***ing stud.

I don't have any issues with this list. I love Abreu, but in 2015 he was merely a good player, as opposed to his rookie year when he was truly a great player. He may well return to that level. We'll have to see.

He was playing through a lot of nagging injuries in 2015 and still managed to put up 30+/100+. The offseason will do him wonders in terms of recovery.

Wow! I didn't know about this. Can you imagine?!

The White Sox asked for him, Arizona lol'd. That was the extent of it.

The coming home special on Abreu was great. He's such a fascinating individual, I would love to see him make the World Series and get national attention.
