Thanks, I finally saw that as well.

O'Connell released?

No, he was just put on Barons roster as Dowdy is on DL.

Anyone ever taken a Sox minors road trip through the South? With new parks in Birmingham and Charlotte it's tempting. I assume the schedule is an issue, but it's probably relatively simple to do Kanny/Charlotte/Winston-Salem, right? The swing over to Birmingham is where it'd get tough, though maybe you could cross the new Braves park off the list while doing it.

Some day...

I've gone to the NC teams every year for a few years, for FS. Charlotte, Kanny and W-S are all within a little over an hour's drive from each others. Kanny is in the middle. The Charlotte park is fantastic. W-S is actually very nice too. Kanny is fine, it's prototypical A-ball.

And Hawkins to the DL....not the best of starts for the Sox minor league system

Adolfo to Kanny. Put up numbers, man.

Michael Ynoa also headed to Charlotte

I see him coming back up pretty soon. Bet the Sox trade a reliever for a platoon hitter to rotate at DH.

Sunburn back with AA

And to replace Sanborn they bring in Jacob Morris, who was left in camp and was not on an active roster.

KAN OF's now: Adolfo, Lassiter, Rodriguez, Sullivan, Silverio

The first four should all be starting. SO, when Cruz returns, I bet one of them goes up to A+. Probably Lassiter.

Former farmhand Sammy Ayala resuming baseball career in the Frontier League

I remember when we took him and Barazza in the same draft. I really, really thought we'd get one legit catching prospect out of those picks and both flamed out very quickly.

Southern Illinois Miners also have former Sox farm hands Adam Lopez, Nolan Early, and Jake Cose.

ROSTER MOVE: RHP Phillippe Aumont placed on the DL. Active roster now at 24.

Just wondering: what are the odds that Carson Fulmer is in Charlotte by July 25?

I'd say pretty good. I think his start has been a blip, and he will be rocking again in no time.
