I'd say rush him to the big leagues since his arm is supposed to fall off sooner rather than later. As Coop said, "we didn't draft a guy this high to be a reliever."

If Fulmer is that good this spring put him in the starting rotation right now. The bottom of the rotation scares me to death. Best case scenario for Fulmer is coming up shortly after the service time deadline and ensuring an extra year of control. This is exactly what we did with Rodon, plus I'm sure the Sox want to give Latos & Danks an extended look before throwing in the towel. I may be in the minority here, but I fully expect a Fulmer call up this year and prior to Septembet.

The White Sox are also the best organization in baseball at keeping pitchers healthy. I don't know how much of that is prevention vs being able to identify bad mechanics, but I don't think they would have taken Fulmer if they viewed him as an extreme injury risk.

He put in about 6 years of great pitching before he ran into problems. Realistically if you get that out of Carson Fulmer you jump up and down for joy. He has also given you about three more years of 5th starter type numbers even after problems started.

Then go look at other orgs. Sox have the top training staff in the league.

Because our pitchers go on the DL way less frequently than every other team? It's not even close too. White Sox players have spent less time on the DL in the last 15 years than Rangers and Dodgers players have each spent in just the last 5.

There was a long term study done that showed the White Sox by far are the best at keeping their guys off of the DL.

I had Fulmer taking Danks' spot in the rotation next year but if they ways he's been pitching, I think he comes up after the break in a bullpen role before joining the rotation late this year.

I do not see Fulmer being a pen piece this year. He logged around 150 innings last year, which means he is primed for around 180 as a ceiling this year. If you waste innings with him out of the pen this year, those are innings he won't be conditioned to pitch as a starter in 2017.

Rodon took a couple of months to figure things out when he got here last year. It wasn't like he showed up ready to go. Despite what Cooper said about Fulmer, I don't think he has anywhere near the pure stuff to carry him through the period of time it would take him to figure out things, that Rodon does.

still need 1 of the 3 you mentioned to fill out the rotation. After this year danks is a FA and if Latos produces i could see the sox signing him to a contract similar to Kazmir and breaking in Fulmer.
