5/7 - Twins @ White Sox Game Thread

It's taken me a while because I wanted to give Abreu the benefit of the doubt, but I'm really starting to question his baseball IQ. He's constantly swinging and missing the curves down and away when he gets behind in the count and he should know they are coming. Or that last AB the pitcher probably didn't throw one strike and Jose should be looking for a ball up that he can drive and he K's on a ball way low.

He was swinging at pitches that would have resulted in a DP even if he hit it

Exactly pitcher wants to keep ball down looking for the DP and he should know that and make the pitcher come to him.

Great shutdown inning

7 K's through 5 for Sale. He's cruising now.

could also be that major league pitchers are good at disguising what a pitch is and they are hard to hit.

7 is for sale. Starting to question the baseball IQ of the twins players.

This pitcher is the type Avi typically would have no chance again. Let's see if he can handle it

Stone is not a hand model

That pitch was a foot inside

Earlier tonight reminded me that Avi as a young player was palatable because he was beating out dribblers to first. Creating his own BABIP luck.

Can see RHP having a tough time against this pitcher. Hopefully Navarro/Eaton coming up can knock him out

looks to have quite the riding fastball.

I like this ump

Hope they give him 10 more pitches

lol. Sale makes these guys look like little leaguers at times. That is a little league pop out right there.

That was a pretty piss-poor at bat by arcia there

I love Chris Sale

Navarro smashing ball

regular playing time seems to suit navarro. He's a bad framer but if he starts hitting who cares.

Great day for Dioner Navarro. Another day at the office for Chris Sale, making the Twins just look like fools, after an emotional first. Wonder what calmed him down (especially without Drake in the clubhouse).

I always liked the idea of Navarro being in the lineup vs. Avila. I think once Avila heals, Navarro needs to be the one getting most of the games. He has earned it.

why the f*** would you bunt here with navarro running?

It is easy to see why Tyler sits a lot.

for the record let it stand I called that before it happened. UNREAL!

great they are both out.
