I think Melky would be fine for it if we traded for a middle of the order bat but I wouldn't change a thing about Melky right now so a #2 hitter in a trade would be ideal.

 

Robin may have to move Melky back to the 2-hole and rely on Lawrie to give Frazier protection. We don't have much left to trade and we need a #4 starter more than another bat right now.

THat's what I'm talking about with Abrue. 25% of season down and he's been well below par. Solo homers are swell but you gotta gotta GOTTA get the easy RBI and from time to time CLUTCH Rbi. Frazier has done it many more times than Jose this year. 3 pitch K? Really?

Yep, especially after the Sanchez AB. You could feel the Abreu strikeout coming. I just didn't think it would be on 3 pitches.

You might as well hand Chris Sale the Cy Young right now if he records a shutout in this game.

 

 

Though the Sox are 1-6 in the last 7 games the offense scored over 5 runs per game in that stretch. Been pretty unclutch in some key situations recently but overall I can't blame them too much. That was bad though.
