Rodon not close to hitting his spots

The base hits he gave up were at 91 and 94 MPH.

Eventually, he'll learn he can't pitch more effectively in the lower 90's.

9 runs surrendered in 11 first innings now.

Rodon is so very frustrating

I keep waiting for him too take the next step just not happening .

I hate high draft choice pitchers. On top of it, we rushed the kid.

With Boras as his agent, he'll figure it out when He hits free agency

Lol...all this because of one run.

.162 his last 18 games for Eaton. He's really fallen off. First in the AL in infield hits, at least.

95 and 98 for Ventura there...usually he doesn't throw that hard until later in the game. 96 and 97 to Abreu.

You obviously haven't been watching him pitch the rest of the year

But you're probably right -I should cut him some slack

Have to get to Ventura early. 24 ER's in 36 IP, 6 ERA over the first three innings of each start.

And Frazier/Eaton continue their slumps.

I watched him pitch plenty and he's no doubt been frustrating to watch, but I think you went a little over the top there.

Rodon doesn't get a strike call bc Avila popped up trying to throw out orlando

Man he looked safe to me, I guess there was no definitive proof to overturn it though

Typical Royals game so far.

Another hit for a guy who really isn't that good

Rodon just lacks the swagger he had towards the end of last year. Still hate how Cooper tried to turn him into a different type of pitcher. He's never going to be the 7 inning per start guy.

Rodon hits the first batter then a caught stealing followed by three straight hits

lol

Might have to add a 3 starter, too.

No rhythm or tempo, everything's going wrong. Zero confidence right now.

Hey, at least no walks!!!

Two caught steals by Avila...probably saved another two runs.

Seems like the Royals ran themselves out of a big inning there.

FYI, Burdi hit 103 today

Gotta have some offense or it doesn't matter what our pitching does

It's unpleasant to think about how that would have gone if not for two caught stealing.
