  1. The MLB have it listed second because Tampa is the number one seed. The bracket is in order of seeding I believe. Mlb.com schedule on the app has it listed first.
  2. Ugh. I have tickets to Dune damnit. The premiere. My friend is in it. And I did this knowing I would suffer. I had banked on it being an afternoon game. I'm also attending with an Astros fan. This could break out in a brawl.
  3. I also think that helped the As against us. Luckily we have more veteran presence than we did last year and pretty much all of our key guys have had meaningful appearances in the playoffs now. In an alterante universe where the Sox weren't in the playoffs, I'd likely root for Baker to get a World Series ring. But fuck that now.
  4. I know people disregard baseball experts but many people are still saying the White Sox are AL favorites. I think if this bullpen and rotation pitch like they have in the final week, it's going to be pretty hard to stop us. The issue that other teams have is that they are going to have a much harder time winning 1-0 or 3-2 games. If the offense isn't clicking, they are still built to win low scoring games because of their bullpen and starting pitching.
  5. Looks like the Hendriks kid met the Hendriks Man as well. But instagram is down and can't link the picture.
  6. Sox are clicking on all cylinders coming into this. Key guys in the bullpen have been lights out. Yeah they lost yesterday but come on, ReyLO was pitching the ninth and they pinch hit for their two best players with a runner on. I really like where we are at. Astros, while they have won 2 in a row, have struggled as of late. I think we split the first two games in Houston. We win whichever game Gio pitches. But I don't think the Astros can touch us at home. I think we win in 4. It's a tough series and it's pretty evenly matched but on paper, the White Sox do have the edge in just about every category.
  7. My guess is, looking at 2019, that it'll be a 5pm EST first pitch.
  8. Keuchel has value on the roster but only as a Starter. I think if Rodon had not been able to go Wednesday and his status was in doubt, it's no question that Keuchel would make the roster. However Rodon looks fine and will likely start Game 4. I don't see it with Keuchel. ALCS is a different story.
  9. He should have close to 20 wins right now. That combined with his ERA would have netted him the Cy Young.
  10. For me, it's not Leury v Cesar but it's more Cesar V Engel. Yeah, that doesn't make sense but if we all agree that Leury needs to be in the lineup and if Leury can play every position on the field, the comparison than comes between two spots Leury can play. Cesar over his last 15 games is hitting .255. And over his last seven is .261. It's not great but Engel over his last 15 games is htting .229 and over his last 7, .182. For me it's pretty obvious. You start Cesar at 2nd Base and put Leury in RF.
  11. Following the Astros score and this feeling like...
  12. To be hoenst I platoon Garcia to make sure he is in the starting lineup at all times. So I start Cesar at 2nd one night and Leury in RF. Next night put Leury at 2nd and Engel or Vaughn in RF.
  13. My friend works at Howard Brown, a Chicagoland LGBTQ+ health center, and i texted her a a photo of Liam in a Howard Brown sweatshirt today that he had on while putting on the Pride flag at Comiskey. She said that he actually came into their health center today and got the sweatshirt there. Said that he and his wife are really nice and really supportive and generous.
  14. No because this was a freak accident and I read a report he'll be back this weekend.
  15. And the Cubs were coming off a streak of scoring 10 or more runs in consecutive games and he shut them down for five perfect innings.
  16. Did anyone read about the key to ReyLo's breakthrough? Apparently he had eye surgery. Apparently he had blurred vision or something and it was so bad he couldn't actually tell what signs the catchers were putting down.
  17. The cubs are delusional if they don't think they need a rebuild. I'm not saying don't try to sign a big name free agent but it seems like they are attempting to do what the Sox did in 2015 which is retool on the fly while still having gaping holes. https://theathletic.com/2853320/2021/09/28/what-it-means-when-the-cubs-are-going-to-be-really-active-in-free-agency/
  18. Even when he had that crappy start against the Angels, he still struck out 7. Was more just bad D and some bad luck but the stuff was good.
  19. SUre. I mean Kopech will likely get the spot but I don't see any harm in letting Kopech at least compete with him for that spot. I don't see them getting rid of Keuchel either. Likely: GIo Lynn Cease Keuchel Kopech/ReyLo Could also see them using six starters next year (ala 2011) and ReyLo would definitely be a sixth starter.
  20. Also, shout out to Liam and his wife for all the great work they have done in the LGBTQ+ community. It's really great to see, especially as queer White Sox fan myself.
  21. Yeah. But I do think Tony might feel more comfortable rotating, especially if Tepera keeps pitching lights out. Like I could see especially against the Astros, Tepara in the 7th and two innings of Liam. Following day, use Kimbrel in the 9th. I think we will likely see the value of getting Kimbrel in the playoffs too.
  22. Beating racism is great. The White Sox just defeated racism.
