    The Office

QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Jan 18, 2007 -> 10:09 PM) See, that sounds funny. Where was that stuff when you made me watch it last week? I have no idea how you didnt find last weeks episode funny.

    The Office

Sort of a downer episode this week. I dont think I have seen Michael that subdued in an episode ever. Im happy Dwight is back, but I am kind of surprised they didnt drag it out a little longer. Messing with Andy was funny, I liked the phone trick. I liked Dwights moments at Staples too, "If you need anything, I will literally be right here".
  3. I think Kennedy might get a shot. You can never count out Edge or Orton in these matches either.
  4. http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/news/story?id=2733245 Cubs are offering 11 million, Zambrano is asking for 15 million. If the Cubs are going to be spending money like fools, Zambrano wants to get a piece of the action, not that I blame him. How can the Cubs offer him the same money they are paying Lilly? Those two arent even on the same planet in terms of talent.
  5. even though this will probably draw alot of scorn, Blink 182's "The Mark, Tom, and Travis Show" is a pretty damn good live album. Its nothing unique or off the charts, but if you are a fan of the band and dont mind d*ck and fart jokes then its something you would appreciate. ACDC Live is a good listen too. My dad stole my album from me
  6. LOL, on Sunday my 6 year old daughter was all pumped up for a snowstorm and nothing happened. She moped about it all day and right before dinner she said to me "Daddy, you know I think the Weatherman lied to us yesterday, he said there was going to be snow today" I said "Abby, unfortunately they lie to us alot." Her reply? "How do they keep their jobs then? Thats not right."
  7. One thing is for sure, HBK is one hell of a bleeder. I liked the match until the scripted ending brought it to a fiery crashing halt. HBK leg dropping Orton onto the carefully placed chair and kicking the other chair into Edge's face was not fun to watch. And it seems like Rated RKO is about to break up, they set up a few causes for controversy with Edge spearing Orton off the apron and Edge running away when Orton was about to get bashed and HBK had the sledgehammer. I forgot to say how much I liked Carlito coming to the ring to tell McMahon how much his new ideas sucked. Carlito rules.
  8. QUOTE(LowerCaseRepublican @ Jan 15, 2007 -> 09:42 PM) Again, I hope it's to heel Flair. Remember, 7 year rule where this has happened before in the E. I can't remember who they turned heel but they did the same thing. Supposedly the guy had been jumped but nobody saw it and he faked it. Then during the main event, the "injured" superstar heeled. And kyyle, don't diss the Brain Chop. It's one of the 5 moves in Khali's arsenal. I wouldn't want him to lose 20% of his repetoire. You are misunderstanding me. I am saying that Khali's opponents never hit him in the legs. Everytime a smaller wrestler tries to take out a bigger wrestler, they work on the legs. No one ever touches Khali's legs, they just hit him in the chest and try to hit him up high, and he responds with the brain chop. It just looks like they have some sort of edict that you arent supposed to hit Khali low. Its probably because his knees would bend the wrong way if you hit him right. I would be glad if Flair turned heel in this situation. I dont think I want to see Evolution come back and call itself DX. I really cant stand edge. I think he is the worst on-mic personality the WWE has.
  9. There must be a rule that wrestlers cannot go below Khali's waist, because they all try and give him the chest chop and he just pops them on top of their heads with his overhand chop. Its probably because of his knee problems, but if the guy cant take the abuse necassary to take him down then he doesnt need to be in the ring with them. I loved seeing Ron Simmons trying to break out of the Masterlock. Damn! Eh, Ric Flair has been "knocked unconcious" backstage. Blech, fake drama.
  10. This happened a few years back in a college hazing incident. The exact same thing, some kid was pledging a frat and they had a water drinking contest, he started complaining of a headache and disappeared, and a few hours later they found him dead in his room.
  11. QUOTE(Butter Parque @ Jan 14, 2007 -> 01:28 AM) It would have to be the James Baldwin trade. LOL, what has Baldwin done since he was traded away? Here let me show you, it wasnt pretty http://www.baseball-reference.com/b/baldwja01.shtml The Sox did good cutting bait with James Baldwin, it definitely wasnt a dumb moment. His shoulder/Rotator cuff was never the same after 2000.

    Cancelled Gems

I really liked the first season of "Men Behaving Badly". Then they changed almost the entire cast around Rob Schneider and it really sucked.
  13. QUOTE(bmags @ Jan 13, 2007 -> 02:34 PM) i don't know. I put on the new one, and then it just kind of reminds me to listen to deja entendu. The new one took me a little while. I really like Millstone and Archers, quality stuff. They dial it back a notch every album though, it sounds nothing like thier first album.
  14. Im interested to hear what the older boy has to say. He hasnt been in school in 4 years, but his ears are pierced and his lip is pierced, and he seems to be in pretty good physical condition. What happened while he was there?
  15. I have been listening to alot of Brand New, On, Failure, Led Zeppelin, a little ELO, and some I am Kloot.
  16. QUOTE(Steff @ Jan 13, 2007 -> 04:51 AM) According to the articles on Yahoo, ESPN, and reports on Sports Center Barry never mentioned Sweeney's name, and never made a statement about the issue until yesterday. So where are you reading info that he did make a statement previously and implicated Sweeney? Well, this whole story is just speculation anyways, right? Has anyone either than the New York Daily News(all other outlets used the NYDN story as their source) said that Barry Bonds failed a drug test last year and named Mark Sweeney as the drug provider? I dont think the MLB has come out and said anything yet.
  17. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Jan 12, 2007 -> 09:24 PM) So, I'm waiting for some of those out of college to chime in. I'm sure that there have to be some beautiful moments from the Lamont/Boom Boom eras that i just can't remember. Lamont really didnt have many. He had a good team, then he had a damn good team, then his team sucked. It wasnt like he made alot of bonehead moves, his 1995 team just wasnt what it was when he left work early in 1994, and he lost his job because of it. Im thinking hard about Bevington, but I really tried to block out that section of White Sox history. Tony Phillips challenging those fans in Milwaukee to meet him under the stands was another good one. There was a game in 92 (I think) when the Sox went to Milwaukee and they were winning by a ridiculous amount and I think Scott Fletcher or Kevin Seitzer hit a ball that was supposed to be a pitchout for a bases clearing triple and the Brewers came back to win. I remember being really mad watching that game
  18. Oooh, I have a good one. Jerry Manuel letting Jim Parque talk him into letting him start, then letting Mike Cameron and Bret Boone park 4 homeruns. That whole game could be a dumb moment. The Seattle Mariners offense was ridiculous that day.
  19. QUOTE(That funky motion @ Jan 12, 2007 -> 09:10 PM) Tori Hunter taking out Jaime Burke at the plate. I dont really see how that was a dumb moment for the Sox, it was a collision at the plate, Burke got KTFO. Paniagua and his fan love was a pretty dumb moment.
  20. http://www.cnn.com/2007/LAW/01/12/missing.boys/index.html What a great ending to a scary story. I cannot even imagine some of the stories that the boy missing since 2002 is going to have. How do these sort of sickos get by for this long without getting caught?

    Best Song Covers

I also think that "Microphone Fiend"(Fun Lovin Criminals) by Rage againt the Machine is pretty good, but I absolutely love the original. And if you havent heard Fun Lovin Criminials cover of "Crazy Train" you should give it a listen, its great. Of course I am biased because I love the band.

    The Office

I just "Scruted" the interview, didnt I? I dont know where that word came from, people just use it around the office when they mess things up.

    The Office

QUOTE(Kid Gleason @ Jan 11, 2007 -> 10:34 PM) Good lord is this show on a roll! LOL!!! Some seriously laugh out loud moments: Jim hitting the brakes in the car. Jim slapping Dwight. "Boobs". The make-overs. Dwight rocking out. If Dwight does get a job at a Staples then this show might just become one of the all-time greats. As for Earl, this week and last week were much better than the few before them. I love Crabman. Crabman = Henry Monroe, Child Genius who graduated college at 14 and was in the witness protection program by 21. That part had me laughing my ass off, I thought a little background history on Crabman was awesome. Especially when he was identifying the charred silverware from the late paleolithic era.
  24. I love reading these types of threads and watching them go from "Which Hottie dont you get?" and morphing into "Why dont you think she is hot? I think she is hot! You should too!" Or "Man, you are stupid for thinking she is ugly". It usually takes about three pages. Depending on the subject, sometimes much sooner. ;-) carry on, carry on

QUOTE(CrimsonWeltall @ Jan 11, 2007 -> 08:42 PM) the back seat is the safest place in the car LOL, Dwight rocking out before the sales pitch was great too. What was he listening to, Motley Crue?
