I also think that "Microphone Fiend"(Fun Lovin Criminals) by Rage againt the Machine is pretty good, but I absolutely love the original. And if you havent heard Fun Lovin Criminials cover of "Crazy Train" you should give it a listen, its great. Of course I am biased because I love the band.

I just "Scruted" the interview, didnt I? I dont know where that word came from, people just use it around the office when they mess things up.

QUOTE(Kid Gleason @ Jan 11, 2007 -> 10:34 PM) Good lord is this show on a roll! LOL!!! Some seriously laugh out loud moments: Jim hitting the brakes in the car. Jim slapping Dwight. "Boobs". The make-overs. Dwight rocking out. If Dwight does get a job at a Staples then this show might just become one of the all-time greats. As for Earl, this week and last week were much better than the few before them. I love Crabman. Crabman = Henry Monroe, Child Genius who graduated college at 14 and was in the witness protection program by 21. That part had me laughing my ass off, I thought a little background history on Crabman was awesome. Especially when he was identifying the charred silverware from the late paleolithic era.
  4. I love reading these types of threads and watching them go from "Which Hottie dont you get?" and morphing into "Why dont you think she is hot? I think she is hot! You should too!" Or "Man, you are stupid for thinking she is ugly". It usually takes about three pages. Depending on the subject, sometimes much sooner. ;-) carry on, carry on

QUOTE(CrimsonWeltall @ Jan 11, 2007 -> 08:42 PM) the back seat is the safest place in the car LOL, Dwight rocking out before the sales pitch was great too. What was he listening to, Motley Crue?

QUOTE(SnB @ Jan 11, 2007 -> 08:36 PM) what's up with teh dwight thing? that was totally unexpected. I know, I totally expected Angela to come clean, but she let him take the fall. The camera shot of her seething in the next room at the end of the show was hilarious. Pam was nonexistent in this show, im thinking something is gonna go down with Jim and Karen next week.

Oompa-Loompa, oompity-dawesome Dwight is now gone, that is totally awesome LMAO, what a hilarious episode. The Sales calls were hilarious. Kudos to My Name is Earl tonite as well, that show was great
  8. QUOTE(MHizzle85 @ Jan 11, 2007 -> 01:27 AM) Well WWE is gonna continue to pimp the ECW name by releasing a 2-disc DVD set on 1/30 entitled ECW:Extreme Rules...one disc will be stuff from the good ol days and the second disc will be stuff from the WWECW era. Match listing you say? Well here you go. Disc #1: Sandman vs. Cactus Jack (Singapore Cane vs. Barbed Wire) Hardcore Heaven '95. Gangstas vs. Eliminators in a Natural Born Killaz cage weapons match (8/24/96). Tommy Dreamer vs. Brian Lee High Incident scaffold match (10/26/96, with Jonathan Coachman & Dreamer doing new secondary commentary). Sandman vs. Sabu Stairway to Hell (House Party '98). The Dudleys Boyz vs. The Sandman & Tommy Dreamer & Spike Dudley in Extreme Street Fight (Heatwave '98). FTW champion Sabu vs. ECW World champion Tazz: ECW Death match - Living Dangerously '99. Mike Awesome vs. ECW World champion Masato Tanaka White Plains, NY 12/31/99. Is this the match the Awesome won before going to WCW? I remember he signed with the WCW days after winning the title and took it with him. Of course, Heyman was having problems paying people back then(well, he paid them, but the checks bounced)
  9. QUOTE(shoota @ Jan 10, 2007 -> 05:34 PM) I don't think "fierce anger" is unsuitable, but even if it is, your decision to respond to my grammar and not the points in my post reveal that my ideas are valid or you lack the ability to disprove them. The Piniella/Dibble situation is quite different from the Guillen/Tracey situation. I didnt respond to your grammar, I responded to your choice of words. Lack of ability to disprove, thats funny. You listed all those opinions of why YOU dont like Ozzie as a manager, and therefore it must be right. I get it. Thats fierce, man.
  10. QUOTE(shoota @ Jan 10, 2007 -> 05:02 PM) * Directing fierce anger at Sean Tracey for failing to intentionally hitting a batter, then sending him to the minors because of it. I cant stop laughing at this. Fierce anger, LMAO. It looked more like intense anger than fierce anger. LOL What did you think about one of your listed "good" managers, Lou Piniella, when he directed his fierce anger towards Rob Dibble and brawled with him?

I still think the cover of NWA's "Boys in the hood" by Dynamite Hack is one of the best. "Take on me" by Reel Big Fish is another good one
  12. QUOTE(The Critic @ Jan 9, 2007 -> 05:29 PM) So that's "Rosie's" real name, huh? The Donald and Rosie
  13. QUOTE(bmags @ Jan 7, 2007 -> 12:18 AM) i liked the first four. Siamese dream is real good. I think I am one of the few that really likes both Machina albums. I like how The Corgan Experience™ did something different in each album, and drifted into a more electronic sound. And he really knows how to build an album. The only problem I have with Corgan is his arrogance, but most of it is due to his talent with music. I think the reformation of the Pumpkins will be fun, but I doubt it will last too long. Kind of like when Janes Addiction reformed then broke up after making an album.
  14. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Jan 7, 2007 -> 07:33 PM) If Eli Manning's name was Eli Floyd, would the Giants be considering hitting the FA market for a backup QB this offseason? Or thinking about using a draft pick on a QB? If Eli Mannings name was Eli Floyd, would Philip Rivers be the quarterback of the Giants right now?
  15. QUOTE(BobDylan @ Jan 7, 2007 -> 06:09 PM) Are you f***ing serious? And what the hell do graphics matter anyway? GAMEPLAY > graphics Windwaker even has better graphics than Twilight Princess, which, in my opinion, aside from Majora's Mask, is the worst game of the series. I agree, I thought the cell shading graphics were an interesting change for the series. The strange thing is that they come off as being paper cut out graphics, but the more you play it the better they seem. Hard to explain, thats just how I felt when i was playing the game.
  16. I just got to the point where I loathed anything on the radio anymore and didnt feel like setting my Ipod playlist all the time, so I started listening to sports radio. For one thing, it really has changed the way I think about sports, I try and look at the whole picture as opposed to my own viewpoint and opinion. On the other hand, some hosts and some people who call in are such wafflers and knee jerk reactionists that I get angry just listening to them talk. Boers and Bernstein are definitely devils advocates and pessimists, its the way they run their show, you should know this when you listen. The longer you listen to them, the funnier they are because like hammerhead said, they are an acquired taste. I still dont get the "Love your show, Love your suit, Lovie Smith" introduction with callers, but I think it is funny that they get their audience to participate like that, much in the same way that Dan Patrick used to greet callers who said "Hi Dan" by quickly finishing with "-Na Kournikova" (get it, Danna Kournikova? Get it? Get it? ) Mostly I listen to Sports talk because of the speed that information travels nowadays. You usually find out about trades, injuries, situations about 1 hour before it is confirmed online, and I love hearing something and seeing a posted conversation spring up about it. There is something about the initial doubt in the story, followed by the formation of opinions, and changed into headbutting after a story breaks that I just love. Boers and Bernstein seem to fall into a good time slot where things happen, news breaks, and they are usually very good about drawing lines and involving the callers in the arguments. Sure, they hang up on people they percieve as idiots, but there is hardly a radio host with that power that wont do that sort of thing, they arent different than anyone else.
  17. QUOTE(Jenks Heat @ Jan 6, 2007 -> 09:44 AM) A precursor to this will be what Carlos Zambrano gets next offseason as I beleive he is a FA. He will be 26. Is there anyone that can be compared to him recently for his age. He can blow out his arm next year and get a Zito contract. Wanna win the WS every year. Sign he and Santana. Your bullpen gets a rest two of every five starts. Yeahhhh..No. If Zambrano blew out his arm next year, he wouldnt be getting Zito money. And if anyone would be able to afford Zambrano AND Santana, they wouldnt have much money to put elsewhere.
  18. Laurie Laughlin is hotter now than she was when she first appeared on Full House, definitely a crush of mine. What qualifies as a strange crush though? Someone you wouldnt normally say was a girl everyone would crush on?

QUOTE(CrimsonWeltall @ Jan 4, 2007 -> 08:32 PM) kyyle, Pam is the receptionist. Jan is Michael's boss. And I don't think she knew about the email. I have no idea why I typed that. I should stop trying to watch TV at the same time as posting
  20. I love listening to that show. My lunch break is at 2:30-3:30 at work, and over the fall I would go out to my car and eat my lunch and listen to the show. The only thing i hated was the commercial time from 2:30-3:00. They talk until 2:40, come back on the air at 2:45, for three minutes or less, and back to commercials with Bernstein doing a live commercial around 2:55, commercials until 3:01. I had it timed because it p*ssed me off so bad. But they talk all through 3-3:30, its their interview time.

"Im not supposed to say anything, but I did see Jan. I saw her at night......and in the morning.........We had sex." The grin on his face was priceless.
  23. Im with you guys on the lists. Ocarina of Time Windwaker The Legend Of Zelda (the original never gets old for me) im reserving a space for Twilight I loved Windwaker, I thought it was a nice breath of air into the series, and they needed a little changeup in the storyline and idea of the storyline. In the end, it ended up being the same, but at least it was told differently.
  24. QUOTE(Wong & Owens @ Jan 4, 2007 -> 02:44 PM) Good to see that things haven't changed much around here. No contributions from that juggernaut clown? That's a bit surprising, unless he's been banished or took his all-knowing box of crap elsewhere. Juggs has been gone for quite some time. Havent you noticed the lack of ID discussions? His spirit lives on in Filibuster discussion though
  25. It is strange how great their front office is with drafting, trading, and developing minor leaguers, and how awful the free agents they pick up are.
