And then I wouldn't even put it past the media to trumpet the idea that him admitting to HGH may have actually helped him because it shows he has character. Used it only once? Just like everyone else who has ever gotten caught smoking, stealing, cheating, you name it- has only ever done it once! I can also see him getting in as the first of a new standard held for starting pitchers. I don't see too many 300 game winners going forward. 200, good numbers, and an assload of playoff wins might eventually do the trick. If it ever does, he'll be the first.

Glad the Sox got him. I think lots of upside can be realized with this signing. I can see him getting a few AB's.

I wake up to work at 5 every day. Today I woke up and heard Mulli and Hanley say that North Ave. from 59 to 355 was unpassable. I got excited because that's the route my dad and I take to work, but I didn't fall back asleep because my dad told his people that we would have work today. So we shovel the driveway all the way to the street, which hasn't been touched. He tries the street anyway, gets stuck. We're about 10 houses from the entrance to the subdivision shoveling in front of the car till we get to the mouth of the subdivision. Some guys helped us out along the way with their snowblowers, so bless them, but when we're 4 houses from the end maybe 2.5 hours into it the city plowers make it through the subdivision and effortlessly clean the street. Wow. 2 people bothered to show up at work.

My family hit Poland, Germany, France, Spain, Italy and Andorra in '99. I only turned 13 during the trip (in Paris IIRC) so I was too young to appreciate a lot of the things I would appreciate now. One city that absolutely stands out in my mind is Sanremo in Italy. I'd like to go back there, possibly make it my honeymoon spot once things get to that point. I've been to both Warsaw and Krakow many times. I like Krakow better, but as mentioned earlier, Warsaw is more modern (and sterilized I think) and Krakow is old Poland.

I read a funny as hell tweet about him holding the record for most pinstripes on a Yanks jersey. I don't wish him harm, really- but I hope like hell he cracks their rotation out of spring training, so I guess I'm kind of wishing him (and the Yanks) harm.

Some girls, and seemingly moreso recently than I can ever remember are just uncontrollable. I blame reality tv. I love a feisty girl, but some of what you'll run into today is, well... I don't know the dynamics of Ozzie's family, but yeah, I will agree that it's evident from what has gone on the last few years that his kids feel entitled. That will happen more often than not when your father is a successful professional ball player/manager in a big town. I'm glad Ozzie said Oney was wrong on tweeting about Jenks, and I'd bet that it wasn't just him saying that to the media- he had to have mentioned it to his son as well. I'm not a fan of Oney's ass-twittery, but at a Score roast I just could care less what Oney says or does.

I'm glad Ozzie is here for at least two more years, hope he's here even longer.

Awesome stuff. Astronomy has been my favorite thing to learn and read about since I can remember. I actually re-read Hawking's A Brief History of Time this past fall. Amazing things happen out there, probably more than the mind can comprehend at this point.
