  1. QUOTE (bigruss22 @ Feb 26, 2011 -> 03:26 PM) I still can't believe that Ozzie isn't telling Oney to STFU, and instead seemed to almost be encouraging him to speak in the media. I read that Oney declined to comment on Bobby's latest. I think Ozzie told him to pipe down.
  2. I thought Singleton improved *a lot* with a little time in the booth, and I enjoyed Singleton/Farmer hella more than DJ/Farmer. I actually miss Singleton/Farmer.
  3. Wow. I didn't see the play happen, and I found Bosh endlessly more likable than Wade and James, but wow. My initial reaction is obviously anger, but all NBA'ers perform the flop regularly, and he had a pretty unfortunate (he sucked worse than anyone in decades) game going, so I'll disregard it. Just really, learn to flop better. Carlos Boozer's elbow isn't a freight train even if it hit you square in the grill. *edit* still, if it were wade or james i would have said something about vagisil and how they need it, cause they do.
  4. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Feb 25, 2011 -> 01:20 PM) Looks like everyone from the ocean thinks Rose too.
  5. 85-87. I think it will be a three horse race down to the wire, but the Twins and Tigers squeak out 1-2 more wins. In my mind it's either that or the Sox just uncork one on the division with a high-90's total. Because I'm a pessimist, I'll just stick to my first scenario. Another prediction I have is actually a precursor to that mid 80's win total, and it involves an injury to someone in the rotation.
  6. Haha Les Grobstein is talking about Anthony and the Knicks like someone would talk about herpes on their eyeball. Oh boy.
  7. My favorite trade proposal I read about was the one where the Nets got some of NY's pieces. I also hope NY gets taken for everything here.

  9. I got The Show '10. I like it, but I just started playing it a few weeks ago to get the hang of it. Here's where I need help. I'm video game illiterate. The only other games I own for a console are Crash Team Racing and Super Monkey Ball 1/2, strictly for the purpose of drunken gambling with friends- and MVP 05. I've spent countless hours adjusting the rosters from year to year in MVP and I just don't have the patience to do that again as I just now want to start a season in The Show. So is there any way of accounting for this past offseason's signings/trades for The Show '10, or do I have to wait until the new one is released? And if so, how do I go about doing this? Mind you I don't even know how to connect to go online with the PS3 yet at this point.
  10. Bummer. Way too soon. I wonder where he goes from here?
  11. I remember reading that Nancy Faust would be getting replaced. Any word on if this happened? I kinda have this feeling it won't, and it'll just be sound effects and loud noises going forward.
  12. I taught myself. I mostly relied on tab books and online tabbing. I was familiar with some of the major chords from eighth grade when we learned guitar during music, but never took any actual lessons. It's fun and rewarding. I suggest a chord encyclopedia.
  13. This is terrible news. I just ordered some yesterday and now I read this. Giordano's has been my favorite place since I first had it (I was 12 or 13, I think). I would cry if it went down.
  14. My gut says Sale will never be a starter, at least not an effective one. We'll see I guess. Hope I'm wrong.
  15. He's got a problem, that much is evident. I bet he's made to go to AA and such, but he doesn't miss one AB of the regular season.
  16. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Feb 17, 2011 -> 07:51 AM) Miguel Cabrera: Back on the juice with an ugly DUI Wow, kinda sucks to read that.
  17. Believe me when I say I'd be ecstatic if it came to pass like that.
  18. QUOTE (bucket-of-suck @ Feb 16, 2011 -> 12:52 PM) He said Sale (4 saves last season) and Thornton (8 saves last season) have NO closing experience...way to be informed on national TV, buddy. To be fair to him, that isn't too far removed from having no closing experience. One can only hope as a Sox fan that Sale's run as a closer last year wasn't just a product of hitters never seeing him pitch before, which is entirely possible, and will make me uneasy until he picks up where he left off and stays there.
  19. QUOTE (Swingandalongonetoleft @ Jan 10, 2011 -> 09:49 AM) I saw a headline somewhere about LAA as a possible Pujols landing spot next year. I haven't been keeping up with STL's financial situation, but last I remember a ) Pujols will get a lot of money from someone and if is from STL, it will tie them up financially. b ) Pujols wants to win, which could be tricky to pull off if that much of your money is accounted for already. No doubt, signing Crawford this offseason would have all but made LAA unrealistic for Pujols should he reach FA. From a baseball standpoint* I'd rather have a one-armed half blind Pujols than Crawford for the money Boston gave him. I was thrilled the Sox weren't actively pursuing him. Could the Angels have half-heartedly been in the Crawford race just to drive up the price for everyone else (by that I mean if you get him, fine, if someone is bent on out-bidding you, no problem)? I know it was pretty much accepted everywhere that they wanted Crawford but could this be an "in the grand scheme of things" scenario? If you lose out on him, no sweat, just throw the bank at Pujols next year, even overpay him. Surely LAA is better equipped to do that than than STL... It's a slow morning at work, I'm just throwing the idea out there. * It's a shame that MLB still doesn't have any sort of HGH testing to this point. Not sayin', just saying... This might be more relevant now than when I originally flew it out there. This is why I think he either stays in STL or goes to LAA, but not the Cubs. Obviously you can never really count NY or Boston out, but that would just be absurd and wrong- I'd hate it infinitely more than the LeBron/Wade/Bosh clowning over the summer.
  20. Awesome news about Radiohead. Off the top of my head I don't know that there was any release that I was looking forward to in 2011.
  21. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Feb 10, 2011 -> 10:16 PM) We'd be the east favorite. Unfortunately, like Dbaho pointed out, we'd have to part with the MVP for that to happen. So you're suggesting a three-way deal between Chicago/Miami/Golden State where Golden State gets LeBron James, Miami gets the deed to the soul of everyone in Chicago, The Sears Tower, and everyone on the Bulls except for Brian Scalabrine, and the Bulls get Monta Ellis?
  22. QUOTE (fathom @ Feb 10, 2011 -> 02:29 PM) I think it's more likely Deron goes to Dallas. It's weird, never heard of him having attitude issues. For no reason I can explain I've always felt there was something like that with him.
