    Machado signs with Padres 10/300

Wasn't Bucket saying Harper all along? Maybe he was right. Probably the best insider the board has had.

This is a pretty big tweet to me. Rosenthal's been fairly quiet.

Show's over folks: Sox out on Harper per Nightengale

Does it actually say Frank Thomas Jr? Because Big Frank is Frank Thomas Jr.

  5. I just looked up Nick Markakis's stat for the 1st time in forever and to my surprise he's a guy that has a fairly respectable shot at 3000 hits. Just turned 35 and is at 2237. If he can remain an everyday player another 3 or 4 years more he might come close.

Amazing how fast those pages get corrected. It's already removed.

I think anything over $35M AAV is too much unless its short term.

No chance Eloy stays down until June. He'll be up after 2 weeks after opening day.

Farmer and DJ back on radio for 2019

I'm not a big fan either. He's okay but he's not nearly as funny as he thinks he is.

Least Favorite Sox 3rd baseman over last decade

But that's not true either. He played 81 games with the Sox that year. The first 40 he had a .182/.301/.343 slash with 5 HR and 19 RBI. The last 41 he had a .231/.355/.517 with 11 HR and and 25 RBI

Huh? He was basically a 3 fWAR player with the Sox and hit 40 homers his first year. Not that 3 fWAR is amazing but it's above average. And he had a 114 wRC+ with the Yankees versus a 105 with the Sox that year. Not that much different and definitely not "tearing it up" with the Yankees.

Keppinger for me. He came off of such a good year with the Rays and I thought it was a good, fairly cheap signing at the time. He then proceeded to be one of the worst players in the league the next year. Nothing against him personally, it just didn't work out.

    Update: Machado met with Sox

12 "qualified" 3B had a better road OPS than Arenado in 2018. https://www.fangraphs.com/leaders.aspx?pos=3b&stats=bat&lg=all&qual=y&type=1&season=2018&month=16&season1=2018&ind=0&team=0&rost=0&age=0&filter=&players=0&sort=10,d
