  1. 4 HR's in 352 ABs in 2019 at A 4 HR's in 32 in 2021 at AA Pretty stark improvement.
  2. I agree CC does a good job on the podcast. And what do you mean "somehow he came up?" Are you telling me when you see the thread title "White Sox #1 in power rankings" you don't think of CC Sabathia's HOF chances?
  3. I am sure I'll get flamed for this take because Gio is the sweetheart for a lot of fans but his body language has been awful this year. Not only that, he gets tagged in Boston and he blames that start time. Gets beat up by Detroit and blames the manager for not pulling him. Just seems like he feels entitled to success. He should be watching how Lynn composes himself because Gio has not been acting like an ace this year. I believe in the ability and think he'll snap back but he's been of the biggest disappointments on the team.
  4. Jack - Sox are winning. They've won 5 straight. They have the best winning percentage in the MLB. Just in case you didn't know.
  5. Billy Hamilton is so easy to root for. My god. Love this dude. As someone who is fortunate enough to sit in some great seats at the park, Billy Hamilton is a leader in that dugout. All game long.
  6. You have to hope he's healthy because his lack of an appearance today is otherwise questionable.
  7. I was talking about the reasoning for signing Bummer.
  8. I don't care with Ruiz getting work other than mop-up, but he has pitched the last two days...
  9. Do you have a source for this random, made-up tidbit?
  10. His defense was awful behind him so he was over 100 pitches when he should have been at 75.
  11. Katz coming up roses again. Crochet has no release point for the first 3 batters and Katz talks about him and he strikes out Cruz twice and then Larnach.
  12. Most predictable post ever lol Vaughn. That's Tim's ball and Moncada isn't exactly ever fighting to get under a pop up.
  13. So easy to bag on TLR and I do regularly but have to give credit here. 2 innings ago I said they should do this after Lamb's next AB
  14. Garcia for Madrigal makes no sense whatsoever. I don't understand how Madrigal needs an off day every week but a struggling Abreu never got one in April. I am sure Abreu told LaRussa no offdays and TLR is doing what the vet told him. Also, I don't think Lamb is giving Mercedes a day off more than Abreu is getting a day off of his feet and Lamb needs to play at some point. Mercedes is just the odd man out because he's absolutely useless with leather.
  15. Using teal? Where are you at???
  16. Are you assuming JR is gone after next year too?
  17. I am not sure this is totally true. LaRussa has used Crochet particularly in a way that supports the idea there is no set schedule with him. Re: the way LaRussa has brought him in for the mickey mouse extra innings competitions. Kopech may be off limits some days but I think that's from rest after his starts or rest ahead of his starts. Like Kopech is pitching game 2 on Friday. Not sure if that's been announced, but he wasn't available yesterday and won't be today as a result. Sox look at Schryver like a guy who can be a legitimate option one day. He's a good name to bring up. I also want to get an update of where Jace Fry is at. Even if the bullpen stays relatively healthy, we'll likely need some extra arms in this upcoming stretch with limited off days and a couple double headers. Someone like Marshall getting a phantom DL stint makes sense.
  18. Can someone pull up the thread of people advocating extending him prior to the season?😮
  19. Madrigal is going to get some votes if he keeps his average comfortably over .300. If Arozarena can channel whatever he showed last October he can get in the lead quickly. That said, I am believer in Vaughn. I don't think the Sox (TLR) have handled him correctly and he's played through that as well as the adversity of playing LF and he's still been a firmly positive contributor at the plate. Assuming he doesn't have issues playing everyday, I still think he's got a strong shot to end the year with 20 bombs and .275/.360 AVG/OBP.
  20. Good stuff Caulfield. Watch Trammell be the guy they send down too hah
