Let's hope this is accurate.

That's great news. Sometimes quotes seem so much more ominous in print, and that tweet about Q's response to Sharp being out for year was terrifying even though he denied it (technically).

Bad, bad news on Patrick Sharp. Hopefully he can be back for the playoffs.

This, this is why I wished the playoffs had already started.

Then he would be out for the playoffs.

You, sir, are a bastard.

Although, the NHL playoffs are a god damned marathon assuming one makes it to the Final round. 2-3 weeks would have him back in the 2nd round!

The second half of this NHL season will be really interesting. I've actually been pleasantly surprised how fresh the players still look on these back to back to back trips. I'm hoping it can keep up, but I'm guessing the last few weeks of season we might see some teams grinding through.

2-3 weeks hmmm. Seperated shoulder?

Correct. Possibly 3-4 weeks now.

RT @tsnjamesduthie: Patrick Sharp has a fairly severe AC joint shoulder separation. Three weeks out likely the minimum. Could be a month.

Now the rest of the season is a formality. Seedings and records mean nothing for the playoffs. Roll the four lines rest the stars and be prepared for the playoffs. Hockey regular season is a step above mlb spring training in determining how the playoffs will flush out.

It was exciting but means nothing if bounced in round one.
