  1. Past hour

  2. Everyone agreed to the ground rules. But now we know they're bullshit lol.
  3. You answered your own question. Acuna is still on the roster as a pinch runner and has played CF.
  4. The Padres should sue the MLB.
  5. Woof... why are they even playing with the roof closed? This is going to stir up some serious s%*#.
  6. Padres got robbed unless you can prove it was somehow curving leftward...with that launch angle, it was going way way out. Came almost straight down at a 10-15 degree angle. 105.3 ev and 49 degree launch angle
  7. Three home teams won just like the wildcard round. The road team…your Chicago White Sox.
  8. Yeah I'm not 100% certain you can project the distance on it, but the fact that the grounds rule is that it's in play is ridiculous. It needs to be like the way it is in Tampa. If it hits a certain part of the roof it is a homer. So many ways people can get robbed by those rules.
  9. Wild. Pham no longer has the unluckiest non-HR today I guess? Though with that height it might have drifted foul anyway
  10. 105 off the bat but 49 degrees launch angle. They called him out. I think there's a good chance that goes out cause it went 325 feet despite hitting the railing.
  11. Wow France hit the railing. That might be a homer too.
  12. Burke??? where else can Grant Taylor go except for the official closer's role?
  13. Schulz and Hagen have to be in the mix. Taylor will probably be a middle guy, but I don’t know if he sticks around for that. Martin Schulz Smith Kay Castillo
  14. Except none of them are plus CFers. Then you have Acuna. Austin Hays four years in a row in the playoffs for 4 different teams is Pham-like.
  15. Smith, Hudson, Hicks and Kay were all just openers for Taylor.
  16. Pretty much has to be in the mix...
  17. Dream on....... Dream away .....
  18. Absolutely insane how many decent platoon / fourth outfielders Getz already had and either traded away or dumped to pay a ransom for Doyle.
  19. Today

  20. He's been surprisingly good. He wasn't bad on the Sox either.
  21. Had no idea Dustin Harris is batting 2nd for the Padres right now.
  22. You need guys that can go 6+ innings in the regular season. Can't rely on openers all year long (and the Sox didn't, but they used them when necessary). But when it comes to the playoffs even the best pitchers will get pulled early unless they are completely dominating. The opener works in a playoff series, but if the Sox had 2 guys (or 3) that could be relied to go 5 or 6 innings in a playoff series they'd take that. The playoffs are a much much smaller sample size of games and matchups can be played more in the playoffs. You still have to get through the grind of the season and you can't rely on openers and whatnot for 162 games.
  23. Schultz could be in the mix also.
