  1. Past hour
  2. Hope the best for the kid but it’s not like we traded the next coming of Babe Ruth. This one won’t haunt us.
  3. They wouldn't, but several contenders have a need for a RH bat. It would be nice to get him some major league swings and show it. Of course, WE have a need for a RH bat too.
  4. Yeah I saw the replay. It was a homer that was only a homer in probably that ballpark only.
  5. So much of this is a narrative that was blown out of proportion by the media, contradicts police reports, and includes some of the women injuring themselves as a part of setting him up. It seems like you’re only interested in one side of the events - a side that has not only been proven in court but also involved successful counter suits. Again - this is not true. His reputation is being a great teammate. The guy put himself in a really dumb spot on all of this is on his own shoulders. If anyone thinks he wouldn’t have been a frontline starter, the Dodgers had 50 million dollars that spoke differently. His performance in a few different leagues and his pitching knowledge tells me he could be serviceable. The only reasons he hasn’t been given a shot is the PR and liability nightmare that would be involved. Before he steps on the field, the media would have to expose themselves and the league by reporting his story in full which would expose those parties to damage suits. This is just one of those situations where two people have two completely different points of view and we’ll never agree… so there is no point in trying to reason any further. Edit: One final thing… no, I haven’t been accused of sexually abusing four or five women… but I do have an exwife that accused me of that along with other completely false allegations like kidnapping my own son, forcing her to lose weight, controlling her ability to leave the house… all sorts of complete nonsense that was investigated by local police ( without any truth found ), DPFS ( also without any findings ), and yet a liberal California judge in the same court Bauer stood found me to be guilty and handed custody of my son for three years to a completely unstable women that went on to abuse him. The worst thing I ever did in my former marriage was raise my voice to step between her and my son when she was abusing him in front of me. But family law courts don’t tend to believe white men with a beard and tattoos - they seem to believe women that are capable of mobilizing institutions and advocates. After the hearings she went to the media and even though I provided them with the findings of the police and DCFS, they reported her side only. If I had Bauers resources, I could have had remedy with counter suits and appeals but just to cover that much, I had already spend six figures. My life was already ruined, my ability to be a father was already gutted, and I had nothing. I don’t think you understand how biased and manipulative the media and unstable women with motives can be.
  6. If they are confident that they can turn Miller into a starter, that could be a bargain (especially if they pay proportionally less for Miller than San Diego). But as a reliever only, no way. Hahn/Haber-era nonsense. Major misallocation of resources.
  7. There's nobody else than can cover SS and CF as the backup. He's perfect in the 26th man role. He stunk as a starting CF. One of my comps when he was acquired was Leury. That looks about right.
  8. Absolutely. I’m firmly of the opinion that he would improve all of the pitchers on a team if he was signed. It would be like having another pitching coach. 😆
  9. Old friend Tyler Alexander's been doing some of his own shoving this season for the Rangers. One of those 2-run first innings should suffice.
  10. On a hung middle middle change that was lofted over the short right field porch in Yankee Stadium. Good for him but I’m still not ready to: Regret the trade Assume we should have traded him for a starter Assume this prevents us from obtaining a starter Assume Gonzo is a better option than Meidroth Assume Gonzalez will have more trade value than Chase will when it’s time for Roch to come up Assume Gonzo will be a better mlb player than Prosek IMO we just need to root for the kid and move on.
  11. Win the series and come on home!
  12. We need to score some runs. If Kay goes out and gives up three in 5 & 1/3 innings, that should be fine with our bullpen vs. their bullpen. But again, we need to score some runs, some solid offense.
  13. How many people would feel a lot better, not only about tonight’s game but even more about the season going forward, if Mune would hit a damn home run in this game.
  14. This game worries me. Need Kay to come out and shove in a shock the world type game.
  15. The potential of bringing in Miller as a closer this year who is transitioned to the rotation for 27 - 30 is beyond intriguing.
  16. Especially in the NIL era.
  17. Need to win this game.
  18. Highschoolers always get paid more than where they're "ranked". You have to pay them enough to entice them to forgo college.
  19. The one I don't understand is Weingartner. He's ranked 159, which would warrant around $441,000. Yet the Sox paid him $1,397,500, which is what the 64-65th player should get. I can understand the Sox disagreeing with others' rankings, but by 90 spots?
  20. Kay vs. Alexander(Opener)/Quantrill
  21. Today
  22. Acuna’s lack of options and terrible start really doesn’t make him very desirable as a trade piece. It’s awesome he has come around for the Sox and they have begun to use him in a way that doesn’t expose him and gets the best out of him, it’s the best outcome for the Sox this season. I just don’t see him being moved at all
  23. Acuna is turning out to be a fine bench piece. His speed will come in handy down the stretch. (Albeit he's no Billy Hamilton)
  24. All teams with bidets. Interesting...
  25. ? This wasn’t a one or the other scenario
  26. That's because we ;make the trades yall want and we almost immediately get bad again. None help, and several has set us back years. They're just a losing proposition...not just for the Sox, for most teams. And now I'm hearing Mason Miller. How has that worked out for San Diego? The price for career year Detmers is higher than Crochet was. Urena. There's my suggestion.
  27. Yet we decided it was best to keep Acuna….
