  2. Nelson is a 1 year deal as he is a 27 FA, so it probably brought the price way down because you can’t guarantee a re-sign.
  3. Kind of surprised no one out bid that. That essentially a 4th round and 6th round pick if Seattle is picking at the end of those rounds. Plus one is a future pick.
  4. Nice trade for Seattle.
  5. Its pretty wild to watch this from afar. Like I said, I have some life experience here serving on a planning board for about a decade, plus having watched the process of a railroad expansion through my town over a little less than 15 years, and the thing that stands out most is the Chicago aldermen are used to having this unlimited power through a local veto, and watching THEM squirm when they DON'T have power is wild. Most of the rest of the country doesn't operate like that.
  6. The first big trade of the season: Colts Quentin Nelson traded to Seahawks

Whether it was purposeful or inadvertent, it looked like an
  9. That was such a weird flex. Like I'd rather not make it all versus lose? No way.
  10. Today

  11. I think we would be out of our minds with joy if we made it to the World Series this year. Of course nobody wants to lose but come on lol
  12. Ald. Lee seems to realize this isn't going to stop the project: “We should not have had to scream, fight and pound on the doors of power just to get the basic transparency about the environmental effects this plan could have on our residents,” Lee said in a statement. “No matter what this environmental study produces, our concerns about noise pollution, economic impact and other issues remain unaddressed.” Chicago Sun-TimesAmtrak's Bridgeport railyard to get environmental review...The Federal Railroad Administration said the review should be completed by the end of the year.
  13. The people who you step on while on your ascent are the ones who let you fall when you drop.
  14. He put his foot in his mouth a lot and along with other issues kind of killed his career.
  15. Stephen Nelson should be the choice. Big White Sox fan and is currently the #2 Dodgers pbp guy when Joe Davis is out. Offer him the #1 White Sox job and I can't see him turning it down.
  16. I listen almost exclusively to the radio team and Len and DJ are outstanding imo.
  17. I was only there for Pope night and it was still a great sandwich.....I did get it quicker than usual though. Kinda sad if quality is going down for not cooking it long enough.
  18. If you discount spending, there is literally no one better than Milwaukee and Tampa. Its the World Series we deserve, even if it isn't the one everyone wanted. No teams do more with less than these two.
  19. Looks like you are right. I did some searching and he has since made all of his social media private and has left the radio industry for now. He has been a manager at BLVD Steakhouse Chicago since May.
  20. This. Look, the whole wildcard thing who will say anything is great until he makes a headline for burning down your own product. Plus with AJ seeming to burn those bridges, I am not sure he ever comes back, but who knows. He does seem to do a great job nationally where he doesn't have to say as much.
  21. I am OK with Connor being the fill it. He's OK. He's vanilla, but he can manage to fill in for a weekend kind of a thing. I will even go so far as to call him Perfectly Fine. The deal is the #1 guy should be better than Perfectly Fine. I don't care about #2 or #3 like that.
  22. It's a schtick. They do the whole, say outrageous things to get attention thing that they learned from the big guys, and try to make it work themselves. It rings hollow if it isn't authentic, which is the biggest problem with the Score. Everything is a hot take designed to maximize feedback, not an intelligent take made to explain something.
  23. I saw in a separate post literally everyone else is back, including Brook Fletcher. Stone is back, as is Len and DJ on the radio. I guess the only thing I didn't see mentioned is pre and post game.
  24. Riordan kind of killed his radio career. He thought he was bigger then what he is....
  25. That someday will not happen as long as Jerry owns this team.
  26. Yep, I remember this. Now both guys from this article are out of jobs. Speaking of tenuous job security, has Shane Riordan even gotten another gig yet? Awful AnnouncingJohn Schriffen escalates 670 The Score feud with 'awful r...The ongoing feud between John Schriffen and 670 The Score shows no signs of abating, fueled by Schriffen's criticism of their reporting.
  27. Not sure if it is just all talk but Kasper has mentioned how he loves radio now and thinks it’s a perfect fit for him. But money talks…
