Has primarily been used in the 6th, z7th, and 8th - at times going two innings. Often enters with inherited runners and strands them more than 65% of the time. Lately he has been better than that, allowing inherited runners to score only on one occasion for the entire month of July.

Good get to replace Dominguez in the bullpen. Now we can get rid of one of the lefties Leaves us with some great options in the 6th-9th innings

He had one really bad outing against ATL where he gave up a slam. Take out that blip and it's 10 ER total in 52.1 IP, good for a 1.72 ERA. Looks like he's opened a few times too, in case that's ever asked of him here. I like Gabe Davis, but this seems like a solid get. Minimal postseason experience (1 scoreless inning in 2023 with Miami) but he pitched well on a big stage in the WBC:

Considering I don't trust our current pitching development to do anything with Gabe Davis, hard to poke holes in this one.

He'll be collecting Social Security before he becomes a free agent.

I wonder if Getz is planning to trade a reliever or two? Now, you have these as your high leverage options: Taylor Newcomb Brazoban Hicks Hudson And some combination of these as more of your middle relief and/or mop-up types: Murphy Richards Fedde Schweitzer One of these has to go (probably Schweitzer for now), but you'd think McDougal and/or H. Smith will also be up at some point in August. It could make sense to try and flip Murphy

Interesting philosophical question as far as whether it matters that the 36 year old has 3 years of team control.

We must have our signs on another catcher or I feel we would have expanded this to include Torrens. Perhaps the same with Holmes. More moves be a comin….
