  2. I fully expect Bonemer to be our LF within two years. And I don’t think Chase will hold onto to 2B long-term…just not sure yet who will displace him. And for now, I think Peters may hold onto CF. I think our money goes toward extending Mune and adding pitching. If Peters falls off a cliff, I think you end up trading for a CF down the road, but with his defense I think he’s going to get an extended run here.
  3. That one was the best one yet, Miguel deserved it, GO USMNT!
  4. Seems like a rip off. For the same price you can go on a 3 hour cruise with Meidroth, Teel, Ozzie, and Pierzynski. https://www.cityexperiences.com/city-cruises/live/chicago/aj-pierzynski-friends/
  5. I wonder if the Sox trying to get an extra pick ship has sailed at this point?
  6. Any of you haters gonna spend $100 to tell Chase he sucks? 😆 But seriously, anybody going to this? CHSN ShopClub 312 Meet and GreetJoin Chicago Sports Network for an exclusive Club 312 experience with Chase Meidroth, Kyle Teel, Chuck Garfien and Ozzie Guillén on July 10 from 11:30 AM - 1:00 PM. Your ticket includes a meet and gre
  7. Now it’s truly MUNE DAY! Appropriate too since his assignment for rehab starts today too!!! LETS GO!!!!
  8. Not sure you can call Benintendi as “albatross” at this point. He’s not worth his contract, but he’s found a role he can be productive in and only has a year left on his contract. If a better option comes along, we can get the bulk of his contract and likely move him (pending Jerry not being a cheap f*** like usual).
  9. I don’t disagree, I just want to see the super team in a few years with Bonemer and BMont on the corners with a big FA signing in CF, Mune at DH and an infield of Vargas, Ant, Roch and Colson.
  10. I have started coming to terms that Hagen might end up being a reliever. It sucks because of how many hitters available in that draft, but that’s in the past and now it’s all about maximizing how he can contribute. If his stuff is going to regress with a starter’s workload, there is still plenty of value to be had in the bullpen. The same applies for McDougal, but I’m more confident he can remain a SP. But perhaps for this season, you leverage him as a reliever and then work him back as a starter next season.
  11. Maybe…I actually like what I have seen from Sam in LF for a guy that hasn’t played the position before. Regardless, even if he moves back to 2B, Chase can still be an incredibly valuable 10th man. He’s the exact type of role player who teams like the Dodgers keep around and play everyday in event of injury. And all of that is ignoring how important he is in the clubhouse.
  12. I don't think your far off in your assessment. I am really interested to see how the White Sox deploy both Smith and McDougal. Both could really help our bullpen problem. I know people often hesitate to give up on them as starters, but if they made the transition in September, that would be the better option for us at this point. I would say its there is a good chance both are ultimately destined for the pen.
  13. Yes I would. I think there is a valid argument that they would be better off trading him for a SP, but Miller is just so good and would secure the closer spot for years to come. I think Bonemer is a great talent but with Roch/Emerson coming, I don’t view him as untouchable.
  14. Easily the guy I’d trade most on main roster. Ant is gonna have to move off LF eventually. His defense is not good out there.
  15. Today
  16. I agree. I also think Hagen’s floor is an elite bullpen weapon, so don’t want to deal him and a bunch of other stuff for an already elite reliever.
  17. Stop trying to trade Meidroth!
  18. He's a pitcher. Look at _____ other the years. They are highly variable and often some mature later than others. He's an asset and one I'd hate to give up on with zero service time to get a guy that even in a good year, is pitching 80 innings.
  19. He's a not top 100 prospect already.
  20. I think there is a good chance the Padres are looking to trade Machado or Bogaerts with packaging Mason Miller with one of them to get them off their books. I don't think Boegarts that is really possible but maybe with Machado. To be clear, they would need to eat a good portion of that contract still.
  21. Probably not. Padres sent Leo De Vries to get Mason Miller. If they were able to get back a top-20 prospect, that would be a huge win for them. I think Hagen Smith with another prospect would be interesting for us, though.
  22. With an upcoming 40 man roster crunch, You’d give up Bonemer for him?
  23. You have faith Smith will turn it around? I don’t even think he’s a top 100 prospect after next week’s draft.
  24. Devil's advocate: this could be the highest value Smith has if it's proven later this year he can't go deep in games and is a RP, and/or can't throw strikes at the MLB level. If the right deal is there for a cost-controlled MLB level pitcher, I would definitely consider moving Smith if the player coming back is good enough.
  25. Gross. Trading low is dumb on smith.
  26. Would never happen, but if they want a package with Hagen Smith and Meidroth and any minor leaguer not named Bonemer….go for it
