He needs a coach like Menechino to fix him

I think the blonde is that broad from the dugout
  4. It was, I'm just saying if he actually did it, I wouldn't blame him lol
  5. Gerrit Cole beamed him earlier this year because he homered off Cole. Similarly, these scrubs are throwing at them multiple times because he's dominating them. Caleb responds by continuing to mash the ball.
  6. C'mon Jake. The Caleb Bonemer hate is getting weird and embarrassing. A Jake Burger comp? Lol.

This reminds me of how I saw some kid at a bar once wearing a Third Eye Blind t-shirt and I said something to him like, "hell yeah man, sick t-shirt" and he said, "yeah I love classic rock".
  8. Yep, they'll almost certainly be at the Rate beyond the end of the current lease. The Crain's article says construction for the new Amtrak facility could start this fall and take 18 months to complete. So, that takes us to spring 2028 as the earliest they could even begin clearing the current rail yard for redevelopment.....and a stadium isn't even the first thing that would be built as their first plan is to build the medical campus. Also, none of this is a done deal. There's still many ways this could be delayed or (for lack of a better term) derailed. The article says Ishbia is unlikely to unveil plans for his own stadium while he doesn't control the team. So, that could be another reason why a ballpark isn't at the top of the list of things to be built at this site - he might not even gain control of the team until 2034 and in the meantime Jerry is apparently working on his own stadium pursuit (at the 78).

Who is the guy next to Hicks in the picture?
  10. Saw the same. He’s gotta go oppo more instead of selling out on the big swing.

41 games left and Sox with a 3.5 game lead. Who woulda thunk that at the beginning of this season.
  12. Melton's .196 BABIP and his 94% LOB suggest he's ripe for some regression, starting tomorrow.
  13. Just saw Schriffen's home run call for Mune. I didn't think he could get worse but he apparently could.

Maybe because they already played a season; then the emotions with the drafts. They're young and can handle it, but it's a lot.
  15. Known as a good defensive catcher, good caller of games, and a good framer, can’t really hit at all, but does have occasional home run pop. I think it was a good pickup for $717K, perhaps for the “veteran leadership” alone. I just don’t understand sending Quero down over Romo. MLB Trade RumorsWhite Sox Claim Jake RogersThe White Sox get another catcher after a string of poor injury luck.“In almost 3,000 innings behind the plate, Rogers has been credited with 12 Defensive Runs Saved and has a Fielding Run Value of 10. His career framing numbers are above average with FanGraphs, Statcast and Baseball Prospectus. With the bat, he has 47 home runs in 1,224 plate appearances but has also struck out in 31.7% of those trips to the plate. He has a .199/.272/.381 career line and 79 wRC+.”
  16. Today

  17. I thought that was outed as fake. Not sure through.
  18. I'm gonna be honest that I know nothing about Jake Rogers....what kind of improvement is he?
  19. Yeah I don't blame him if he messages someone on IG that he's better than Romo. He was finally putting together good PAs, which Romo basically never does. Yes, his defense is atrocious, but Romo's isn't that much better.
  20. I’m still curious if Nashville would actually be a bigger money maker than Chicago, even with the Cubs around. I definitely don’t agree with the other cities you mentioned.

    Hope it went awful
  22. One that they don't share with a much more popular team and wealthier fanbase, with a city/state that will give them money to build a new park with. Definitely Nashville (I'd move there if there was a job, I looked) but it could be Montreal, Louisville, Vancouver, Salt Lake City, Orlando, a bunch of places. Not saying this is actually better business than staying in Chicago, I have no clue, but it really seems to me that our team's fanbase and payroll could be replicated pretty much anywhere with a market size around 2mil and a friendlier local government. The current fucking alderman can't wait for the Sox to leave (I think, she never replies to my emails, she supported that 78 deal hours after the team hinted at it despite it taking jobs and tax revenue out of her district), the state will give them nothing because it's a popular idea to voters who are stuck in the 1970s regardless of whether or not it's a financially savvy public investment.
  23. Did you score big like the Sox did tonight?
  24. It’s just strange at this point. At least if we knew for sure Romo’s option status, one could argue that maybe Getz is afraid that some garbage team would actually claim him if he is out of options, even as bad as he has been. Don’t think it’s been confirmed though.
  25. The Sox are now 3-0 when I go on first dates. Cause / correlation
  26. You guys are pathetic. Team birthday dinner for Grichuk with wives and girlfriends.
  27. Nice to see the offense break out a little bit. Big game to get with facing Melton tomorrow, he has been one of the best pitchers in the league
