  1. Past hour
  2. Thanks. I figured it must have to do with the vibration.
  3. I think it's a thing that started coming into fashion around the time I stopped playing baseball. Basically functions as a cushion to reduce the sting/vibration on balls hit off of the sweet spot. If that's what it is, I'm not sure why he'd keep it on while running the bases other than just not wanting to lose it.
  4. Isn't it entirely dependent on when the player shows signs of recovery from the concussion? You really don't know how long it will take with concussions.
  5. When it doesn't work, he gives up homers lol
  6. I know you were wondering, but no the Sox do not lead MLB in pickoffs. That moves us to 11. There are two teams with 13 (COL and TBR) and one with 12 (HOU). Sox move into a tie with ATL. Interestingly, HOU and ATL have stolen very few bases relative to the others on the leaderboard.
  7. Beni's gonna homer off Avila next AB
  8. Yeah, what the hell is going on with him? That Cease trade looking like a total flop. It was dumb in the first place to have the main piece of the trade being a pitcher that throws 90.
  9. Just hold them and we will get to their bullpen.
  10. So after a 30 pitch first inning, we're going to let this guy somehow get through 5 innings AND be in a position for a win? Yuck.
  11. What does Vargas have on his thumb/hand on his right hand? Do most players wear that and I don't notice it?
  12. He did after Kay threw ball 1.
  13. Richards is an interesting player to me. He's essentially a trick pitcher. The trick often works but you never know when it's going to stop working. The trick being that he has a changeup that breaks almost a foot more than any comparable change at the same speed would be expected to.
  14. It's because this team sucks and their record is smoke and mirrors. Me and @joejoesox are about to turn this game off.
  15. It's because Ron wanted to be funny and make the thread.
  16. Did you see what I did there
  17. I assume that was a pitch around on Witt and it didn't work.
  18. Yeah I'm about done with Kay today
  19. A bad KC team not playing their 2nd best player.
  20. Kay is amazing, only 7 hits and a walk surrendered to a bad KC team through 3.2 innings.
  21. Jensen has had no problem seeing Kay at all today. I think he's just sitting sweeper or else knows it's coming from tipping/scouting.
  22. White Sox insider giving a realistic mock draft.
