A deep dominator who turned into a prolific touchdown scorer for 2023 national title game participant Washington, Odunze (6’3/212) would have a claim to top-dog status in some receiver classes. Since Marvin Harrison Jr. and Malik Nabers exist, he had to settle for “consensus No. 3” in this year’s group. Simply the most prolific deep wideout in the country, Odunze has vise-grip hands despite the sometimes volatile nature of that down-field role. Elite in contested-catch situations, Odunze also consistently adds extra yards after the catch. Odunze might have even better ball skills than Harrison. It’s Odunze’s hands and positioning that make him more — much more — than just a deep threat. He has the finer points of receiving down cold. That, combined with a size/speed game that is growing rare at the NFL level give Odunze “No. 1 overall receiver for the class” upside despite his stiff competition.”

Critics seem to love the fact that they did the unexpected... Made the focus be firmly placed on all those individual characters, and the ultimate sacrifice the previous episode tipping the political tug of war to Toranaga's site with almost no blood being shed (the very opposite of the samurai/warlord mentality about honor coming from the battlefield). The cinematography alone was amazing. And leaving lots of little clues about our main character without even telling you whether he eventually ended up in England or stayed in Japan for the remainder of his life, very faithful to the spirit of the Clavel novel if not the actual execution.

With two picks left (3rd and 4th rounders) I would expect a couple of those or one of those and an OL to develop.

Getting to be a massive mental block at this point. Just always seems to get off to such slow offensive starts and can never recover and bring up his numbers to decent levels.

It's going to come down to his defensive skills and stolen base/PR ability...very rare are the guys like Zobrist or Chone Figgins that can legitimately play every position on the field and also hit/run pretty well. Jose Oquendo is more the traditional archetype.

But Leury Legend is still the all-time Sox utility guy, along with guys like Grebeck, Yolmer Sanchez and Pablo Ozuna.

Oh I love Baldwin. I think he's going to be a staple. Just an observation.

Everyone's jumping on you for this but I was thinking the same thing about inheriting that position. Lillibridge, Saladino, Mendick, Remillard, half of this year's roster. The only thing working against him is that his last name is a little too bland.
