May 7, 200421 yr Side note. In the Independant leagues and I'm certain some minor league parks, they have a tradition of passing the hat for homeruns and 7 Ks with the player picking up the cash. I know for a fact, from talking to the pitcher, that he gave up a home run ball in the All-Star Game to a buddy so they could split the cash. They had it prearranged that if the game was out of reach and it wouldn't matter that a fat fast ball would be served up. I really doubt that a major league player, in a game that mattered would give up an intentional run. But Tori Hunter does suck and never hits home runs, and this is the first home run he's given up so maybe it was intentional.
