  1. Sure. Just keep in mind that a player on an insane hot streak will still fail 60% of the time.
  2. Looking at Fangraphs' 2023 data, they rank Roberts among the best CFers in the game, while Julio is middle of the pack good. https://www.fangraphs.com/leaders/major-league?stats=bat&lg=all&type=8&season=2023&month=0&season1=2023&ind=0&pos=cf&sortcol=20&sortdir=default&qual=y
  3. SoxMachine reports this about Iriarte's recent struggles: https://soxmachine.com/2024/06/white-sox-minor-keys-june-20-2024/
  4. The major league minimum is about $800k. Yeah, you have to have guys in your bullpen, 4th OFs and utility infielders. This is a stupid meme.
  5. Probably had to be added to the 40-man by a date or he became a free agent. He's probably the most logical 3rd catcher at AAA right now, so they decided to hang on to him.
  6. He seemed to stop posting around the time thee Clevinger signing was announced.
  7. What's happened to Shane Murphy? He's been having a rough go of it since he did a spot start in AAA. Jet lag?
  8. Or you acquire more value getting guys already on the 40-man rather than players not yet on the 40-man.
  9. we took 2 of 3 from SL and the Nats. Both sets of wins were Fedde and Crochet.
  10. St. Louis and Washington. Cleveland and Tampa Bay. We split with Boston and Atlanta.

  13. If a position player takes the mound to pitch, they still keep their place in the batting order as pitcher. The sub at 1B would then bat in the DH's spot, and the DH would be forfeited for the rest of the game. The Ohtani rule allows the starting pitcher to be both DH and P. If Ohtani is removed for a reliever, he can remain as DH, or if he's pinch-hit for, he can remain as pitcher.
  14. We were taught this in little league when you couldn't even take lead-offs. After the ball hits the catcher's mitt, start looking like you're going to run. When the catcher decides you're not going to run, and lobs it back to the pitcher, take off for second.
  15. He's not showing the preceding tweet that talks about Brebbia joking. Again, there's so much wrong with the Sox this year, we really don't have to make up BS to complain about.
  16. It makes more sense for a team to acquire Crochet in the offseason. I'd guess Robert next TDL.
  17. Fine. He has made changes that have made him more effective. From SoxMachine: https://soxmachine.com/2024/06/pregame-notes-how-to-tell-if-your-pitcher-is-tired/
