Vargas has already put up 1 fWAR in 38 games. He should easily clear 3. Maybe Vargas will be dealt. It won't be this year, and probably not next.

Yes, it would be great to have a 4-5 WAR 3B sitting on your bench. LOL. Vargas ranks 4th in fWAR for qualified 3B. He's a borderline All-Star at this point.

I don't know...I think he's a slightly better Tristan Peters. He's never really hit. Peters actually grades out a bit better with the glove.

The White Sox were "historically" bad in 2024. 2025 was run of the mill bad. I perceive a team that's inconsistent, playing slightly under .500 ball. Maybe if a player comes up and succeeds, a stance change spurs offensive production, they could be in the playoff race in a below average division. I don't think they'll make the playoffs, but considering the team to be in a "race" for first place isn't distorted perspective.

That would be a PR disaster, destroying any good will the signing created in the Japanese market, and among Asian players. 2) Trading Murakami next TDL is not the same thing as trading him this TDL. 3) This team is on the verge of being competitive. The extra pick they received from Seattle in the Santos trade turned into Blake Larson, and they had extra money they used to sign Bonemer and Antonacci.
