I can, because it has been. The fact that players get DFAed when there are no other teams who want to trade for them isn't "bad roster management". The fact that somebody like Wikelman Gonzalez made it all the way down to the Marlins means that more than half the league (who probably have shitty records, in part, because of a lack of credible bullpen arms) - passed on him. He got injured. He's probably overweight. He hasn't snapped back to his 2025 form after recovering. They took a flier on him and he didn't work out. Next. I really can't understand the people who, after every single DFA of a guy who just didn't work out, kneel down on the ground, cry, and shake their fists at the sky.

I would love for any of you people to tell me about this dream organization you keep comparing the White Sox to that converts even 50% of the players that enter their organization. The reason that teams maintain 6 minor league teams isn't because they imagine MLB will expand rosters to 200 players at some point, and they'll have 200 All-Stars suiting up soon.

I have no idea what happened with Ramirez, or why TA felt compelled to fight. The famous Ventura/Nolan Ryan dustup has been fully explained. The team decided first guy hit charges the mound. In 2024, the White Sox had one position player with at least 100 plate appearances (out of 17) who cleared 100 OPS+ or were above average. Another 3 cleared 94. This season, 9 (of 12) have cleared 100 OPS+, and the three who haven't are Quero, Romo and Acuña.

Looking at the schedule, I'd pick 25-19, rest of the way. No sweeps, winning the home series, losing most of the road series. The Tigers are going to be tough. We have 7 left against them, so we kind of control our own destiny.
