Harris is a nice player. Peters is more of a direct comparison to Harris than Kelenic. They see Peters as the better fielder. Harris was gone by the time the called up Kelenic, and Kelenic looked to be the top of the AAAA heap for replacement level OFs, out of what's left at Charlotte. I don't know when Pereira is due back, but if Kelenic's hitting .025 after 10-15 games, I don't think it's even a coin flip between Kelenic and Acuña.

That play happened so fast, Taylor would have needed to break and start running as what looked like a single came off the bat. Taylor probably has another place to be on a single to RF. I don't like Southside Samurai because it's generic and lazy. Like calling Tanner McDougal the "Lakefront Leprechaun". Or calling Noah Schultz the "Out-gettin' Kraut". But that's the world we live in. SS Samurai is safe, kids could remember it, generic. I think some people react dramatically to one's ethnicity being put in the spotlight. One time at a work Xmas party, I was telling a couple younger kids about how my parents would always point out the Ukrainians among us. There was a resentment that went back to the war, and who sided with Russia and who sided with Germany. Those 20-somethings looked like they wanted to run away, they were so nervous about any ethnicity being discussed around them.
