Oh, come, now. They have an actual infield to plan on. They had an outfield plan, but 3 of their main options are injured. The 2024 team finished with on player who had more than 50 PA and an OPS+ above 100. Tommy Pham.- 2025 Trade deadline rumors thread

Thee 2026 team is not the 2024 team.- 4/8 Sox vs. Orioles 1:10PM
Then I really don't understand your comment. I probably said they're in a better place before we got the news on Baldwin, and Hays and Pereira went down. They're starting two AAA OFs right now, and the mainstays are slumping. If you're saying that Teel will be worse than Quero and McGuire, Antonacci will be a glorified Dru Baker, and McDougal/Schultz will get clobbered over 2 innings every start, that makes absolutely no sense. As usual.- 4/8 Sox vs. Orioles 1:10PM
I'm not sure exactly what you're referring to, but their record is 2 games better than the last two years. Their roster is more solid than 24 or 25. They have actual prospects closer than the last two years. Are you angry because you don't think they'll look like a different team with Teel, Antonacci, Pereira and maybe McDougal or Schultz in the rotation? Or are you just trying out the current vague-posting fad the kids are into, now?- 4/8 Sox vs. Orioles 1:10PM
They have 4 starters out, right now. 3 of those guys, Baldwin, Teel and Hays were players they were going to rely on for some offense. I think once Teel eases back in, Pereira's back, Antonacci's up, and maybe they promote a starter or two, they'll look like a completely different team.- 4/8 Sox vs. Orioles 1:10PM
Vargas! Looks like a frozen rope in the box score.- 4/8 Sox vs. Orioles 1:10PM
WTF was that "yeahhhh" going to break by Schriff?- 4/8 Sox vs. Orioles 1:10PM
Alright - a 9 pitch inning. Would be nice to get one more of them.- 4/8 Sox vs. Orioles 1:10PM
Good defense from Benny, Acuña- Is MLB headed for an intl. draft? Story includes Eloy/Devers' DR academy
Because for cultures that still use a base nine numbering system, 18 is a nice, round number.- Shane Smith sent down. Update: Has rotator cuff strain.
I'm guessing they're bringing up Schweitzer up to spell the bullpen, then sending him down for Cannon or Davitt when Smith's spot comes around, again. Oops, already said. Jinx!- 4/7/26 Orioles @ White Sox 2:10 Chicago Time. Shane Smith SP
He's not terrible. He had a bad 2nd inning.- 4/7/26 Orioles @ White Sox 2:10 Chicago Time. Shane Smith SP

wrong one.- Baldwin out for the season
Oh, for those days of February where we threatened that heads should roll if Baldwin wasn't a starting OF.- Baldwin out for the season
I would be surprised if Braden gets called up this season.- Baldwin out for the season
Dominic Fletcher decided to try his luck in another organization. Had he stayed, he'd probably be looking at a solid month or two of starting.- Munemania: AL Rookie of the Month of May
Maybe it is. But MLB wants to sell jerseys. If there's an anti-Chinese sentiment among Japanese consumers, MLB should learn that and avoid it. It's not the job of the consumer to get over themselves, change their feelings and just buy what's on the shelf. American baseball fans screamed when Fanatics changed the size of the name lettering on the backs of the jerseys. Were I in the market for a jersey that season, I might have held onto my $150 until they corrected that oversight.- 4/6 Gamethread, 0's at Pale hose 6:40 pm Taylor vs TBD.

I was joking earlier, but looking it up, Fedde sidestepped the first 4 hitters in the first. He finished his night only seeing those 4 two times. He also finished his night against the bottom of the order. That's all what Venable said he wanted to happen. Fedde went 6 strong. Please don't learn to boil everything down to 2 arguments. You're one of the bright spots here.
