  1. And unless you're trading the farm for a dominant pitcher on a heater, it's a coin flip. The Sox don't need an infielder. They have a catcher coming back from the IL. They have a rookie RF who may earn a promotion. They have a slew of starting pitching options coming back from the IL. Maybe they'd trade for a closer. Will anyone out there be better than Grant Taylor? Of course, with the upcoming lockout, we're told we may not see professional baseball again in the next 16-17 years. By the time they start playing baseball again, they might have to teach everyone the game again from scratch, because this is a reallllly scary lockout coming. So the Sox might have to push in all their chips to win the only World Series that will be played in any of these players' playable lifetimes.
  2. Beef loaf seems like a real nice guy. I really can't take the way he has to laugh at the end of each sentence.
  3. New team rankings!! #12 made us gasp!!!
  4. This is the first time I've ever noticed players look at their bat, and line up the label so they don't break their bat. Both Ant-man and Vargas have done it.
  5. WTF? Talk it up that Bell K just a little. We don't need a "Oh, yeah!! Here's where the comeback starts, bayyy-beee!!!", but dead silence?
  6. I wonder if Schriff blew a dube for Prince live. Stone certainly smoked some Green for CSN.
  7. Okay, that Rikuu catch was as hot doggy as anything Acuña does. And I love it!!
  8. Schriff seems to be pooching these third out, strike three calls for Sox pitchers. They just drift off and go to commercial.
  9. It doesn't work from the toilet.
  10. Oh, I don't know about that. The squeeze and his innings limit (perceived) will probably put him in the pen by September. I'd think they'd want to develop him and Schultz rather than run with Fedde.
  11. DAVIS COULDA HAD KEASCHULL!!!!!!111
  12. Beni's got negative WAR mostly because his bat doesn't really play at DH. Other full time DHs are so much better.
  13. He's refining his giggles for taking the lead, then giving it back again.
  14. No, I agree with you, now. Jacob Amaya was so much better than actually having a baseball player at SS who could put up positive WAR.
  15. I can't wait until they DFA Beni, because I hate back to back HRs!!!
  16. I think he went to TB for cash considerations. Like, they were short a guy, and they knew him.
  17. I was mocked all spring training last year by somebody because I said Tristran Gray might be in play as shortstop, seeing as Colson was hurt, and Jacob Amaya was the only other real option.
  18. Https://www.SoxTalk.com did NOT work on my macBookPro.
  19. 60 pitches isn't getting Sandlin through 6 today.
  20. James Fegan profiles Davis Martin's poorly rated "stuff", and how his "stuff" doesn't care. Stuff metrics dislike Davis Martin, but it's hitters who truly hate him - Sox Machine
  21. The Tigers got four nice years out of Miguel Cabrera's last 10. Two others were league average offensive production. At $30M per. Albert Pujols put up 7 below average seasons to finish out his Angels' contract. Stockholm Syndrome? LOL. When the Sox finally grab somebody off the free agent market and sign them to that 10/350M contract, they'll probably get 3 great years, 2 average, then Bentendi for the back 5. I look forward to you loving every minute of watching a guy swing at s%*# then grab his back for 5 long years. Getz did sign Mune. By all accounts, the Sox sound very amenable to keeping Mune in house as long as it's feasible. I'm sure you'll tell us all how JR will punt right up until the actual signing, then flip and start lecturing that the signing was a no brainer. What kind of Syndrome is that?
  22. And this is probably the subgroup their insurance policy gave the go ahead for coverage.
