Comparing is too soon, but analysing their team, plan and it’s impliction for what we could do is an interesting topic. Id be furious as a Brewers fan, doesn’t mean necessarily i’d end up being right though I guess. for what I mean for us, we need to get better at our free agency signings to match what the Brewers have done. Between that concern and my worry that we’ve not found enough disgarded/underrated diamonds for me is the risk of this rebuild, as the farm and trades (ignoring he who should no be mentioned in SD) have done all that can be done given injuries etc.

He didn’t pitch as badly as the line score shows. His high fast ball worked, his slider and change up got some swings and misses. That twins line up just don’t miss errant pitches very often.

Those rebuilds didn’t have the Sale, Q and Eaton trades to bring in a prospect haul to start it. Ours shouldn’t take 4-5 years at most IMO

This trade would make me so angry that ironically it would make me want to go home and beat up my wife 😂. I’d not do this from a value or a moral stand point.

I might be missing something here but catcher is the one position where a platoon makes sense given a catcher cannot play 162 games anyway. I’d collins only plays against righties he would still not be a wasted roster spot. I just don’t massively see the problem here as long as he hits. If he don’t he was a wasted pick regardless.

Rutherford is on the younger side still. Repeating wouldn’t be the end of the world. Robert should hit AAA and reach majors when service time issues dictates. I know as a fans this is frustrating but it’s about winning long term. If he’s extendable in summer he should start CF 2020.
