  1. Yeah, Mason decided to walk 3 guys in the 9th while up 6-0. Also gave up a hit. Luckily only gave up 1 run. Sorry for jinxing the pitching line.
  2. Hays hit another bomb tonight, this one of the 3 run variety.
  3. Loving the pitching box score in Charlotte tonight so far: Urquidy: 5 IP, 0 R, 2 H Hagen: 1 1P, 0 R, 2 K Mason: 2 IP, 0 R, 2 K
  4. Baseball is so weird sometimes. I think Kay has looked great in both innings, and he’s down 3-0.
  5. What do you think his innings limit is? It can’t be only 100, right?
  6. I seem to recall him as a starter for Houston a few years ago. But I forgot he existed. What’s his story?
  7. Huge win today. Biggest pitch of the game might have been the 2-0 count fly out with bases loaded in the top of 6.
  8. Billy Carlson with a ground rule double into the right field corner.
  9. I wish I could go through a slump and still have a .921 OPS.
  10. Probably the same reason that we’ve lost others for stretches. I still can’t use the site unless I’m on my home WiFi.
  11. Nailed it! And this was more of a bold prediction than predicting we’d hit five long balls today.
  12. Pretty funny that we wrote the exact same sentence.
  13. Hays and Pereira just went back to back in Charlotte.
  14. Hays and Pereira both with a homer.
  15. The ump has already helped the Sox twice.
  16. My prediction: Romo gets at least one hit today. Maybe even an extra base hit!
  17. Looks like you’ll need a pinch hit homer from Colson. Although, if you nail 3 out of 4, I’m counting that as a successful prediction.
  18. True, but I’d say what you would be hoping for is much more risky than my assumptions. You’d be hoping he increased his trade value by having one of our regulars get injured for a long period of time AND having him produce during that period time in a way that would increase his trade value. At the time of the trade, I wasn’t close to being convinced the second part of that would happen. And even if I was more sold on him like you are, to need an injury to happen to get to that point is too risky for me.
  19. But if we waited a year, he’d be hitting in the minors during that time. There was nowhere for him to play on the big league club. The only way his stock goes up is with production in the majors, and he wasn’t going to get that with us.
  20. Nah, he STINKS! @Look at Ray Ray Run (I’m not usually one to call out like this, but I know you can take it, and it’s all in good fun)
  21. In my best NBA Jam voice: He’s heating up!
  22. Eisert gave up all 3 in the 8th. And they might score more.
  23. As frustrating as it is, I think teams only score a run about 65% of the time in that situation. It’s not a slam dunk.
  24. We won 10 of his first 11 games started. And now we’ve lost 6 of his last 8. I enjoyed those first 11 a lot more.
  25. Sorry, everyone. I tried my hardest to make it 5 straight. Someone needs to get us back on track tomorrow.
